Miranda Lambert<\/strong><\/a> has kept a watchful eye on husband Brendan McLoughlin<\/strong><\/a> since his viral scandal in June, where he was captured on video dancing with other women at her Nashville bar. A source told In Touch<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, July 30, that the country singer is \u201cstressed over her marriage\u201d as she attempts to keep his behavior in line.<\/p>\n \u201cMiranda gave Brendan a piece of her mind and a warning he\u2019d better mind his behavior or else,\u201d the insider said, noting that the \u201cMama\u2019s Broken Heart\u201d hitmaker, 40, was \u201chumiliated\u201d by the scandal.<\/p>\n Despite her chat with Brendan, 32, the source added that Miranda is still uneasy about what happened and is \u201ctaking it out on her fans\u201d at concerts. While she\u2019s long had a reputation for halting shows to scold attendees<\/a> for taking selfies, throwing beach balls or chatting, Miranda has seemingly cracked down on her audiences extra hard since her husband\u2019s viral moment. On June 29, she stopped her performance of \u201cTin Man\u201d mid-song and threatened to \u201ccome down there\u201d herself to break up a disruptive group. Days later, on July 13, she scolded a group for seemingly arguing during one of her songs.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s constantly worried about what Brendan\u2019s up to when her back is turned,\u201d the insider continued. \u201cSo any little thing will trigger her temper.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the source noted that Miranda \u201chasn\u2019t pulled the plug on her marriage, nor does she want to.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut Brendan will be in the doghouse for a while,\u201d the insider concluded.<\/p>\n Their troubles began when the former New York City police officer was spotted at Miranda\u2019s Casa Rosa bar dancing with a group of women<\/a> while his wife was seemingly not present. Videos circulated on TikTok on June 24 of Brendan dancing closely with a brunette woman in a denim dress, and the same woman was later seen grinding on him. Another clip showed a woman getting close to Brendan and putting her hands on his face.<\/p>\n However, one of the mystery women told In Touch<\/em><\/a> on June 26 that her group\u2019s encounter with Brendan was entirely \u201cinnocent.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cEarlier in the night, we noticed him in the roped-off section at the front of the bar. We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance,\u201d the woman, who chose to remain anonymous, said. \u201cWe went back to enjoying our night, drinking and dancing with each other and just having a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n The woman added that she and her friends ended up \u201cnear the roped-off section\u201d of the bar. They asked Brendan \u201cif he would take a picture with the bride-to-be.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe said of course, and we thanked him,\u201d she continued. \u201cSomehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I\u2019m not sure how that was initiated or happened. We were all dancing together and laughing and talking, thanking him for helping to make our bride-to-be\u2019s night so special and fun. He was gracious and polite and kind. He did a lot of laughing at us, because we are a silly bunch and were having a good time just dancing and being goofy together.\u201d<\/p>\n The bar patron insisted that \u201cthere was never anything inappropriate said\u201d between anyone and \u201cthere was no vibe whatsoever of anything other than friendly, innocent dancing and talking.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe was not flirty,\u201d the woman said. \u201cThe bar was extremely loud, and even yelling in each other\u2019s ear, it was hard to hear anything. He left about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, before we left. Truly, none of us ever felt that there was any flirting happening. It was just dancing, laughing, and talking. He was friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n Addressing the footage of her putting her hands on Brendan\u2019s face, the woman said she wasn\u2019t \u201csure why\u201d she did that, calling it a \u201csilly, unconscious habit.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am responsible for how that may have appeared to the outside world. I never intended it suggestively, probably more \u2018motherly,\u2019 as that\u2019s who I am, but that isn\u2019t something that should reflect badly on him at all,\u201d she said, adding that she and her group were \u201cgrateful\u201d for Brendan\u2019s kindness.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s sad that he and Miranda are dealing with all of this for no reason,\u201d the woman concluded.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
