The singer, 32, is happily settled with her 36-year-old music producer boyfriend Benny Blanco \u2013 who she has been dating since June 2023 \u2014 and has now reflected on how unhappy she was in her youth, which included her getting photographed by paparazzi while dating her ex Justin Bieber<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She opened up about how she had the blues at the time in a reaction to throwback footage of herself posted on social media showing her getting snapped by photographs and posing with a fan.<\/p>\n

The TikTok clip was set to her ex Justin\u2019s song \u2018Company\u2019, with a caption the video saying: \u201cI know and so do you that at the time she would never have gotten engaged to Benny (Blanco) (when) she was in her IT GIRL era\u2019.<\/p>\n

Text over the video also said Selena\u2019s former self \u201cwould never date Benny Blanco\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nSelena hit back: \u201cKinda makes me laugh because I was so depressed back then lol.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe singer dated Justin, 30, on and off for eight years and a few months after she and Justin split in 2018 he married Hailey Bieber, 27, with whom he is expecting his first child \u2013 something Selena has not publicly commented on.<\/p>\n

\nSelena has told how she loves how Benny treats her, saying online in December: \u201cHe has treated me better than any human being on this planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nShe added to Time magazine the musician is not \u201cfazed\u201d when her critics say \u201cthe most hurtful things\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nBenny celebrated her 32nd birthday by buying her a jewel-encrusted necklace in the shape of his first initial.<\/p>\n

\nSelena showed off her diamond-covered \u2018B\u2019 necklace \u2013 a 14-karat gold, diamond-studded piece from Los Angeles-based brand Baby Gold, which sells for $600 \u2013 in a photo posted on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\nBenny commented on the image: \u201cI got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain\u201d \u2013 in reference to Jay-Z\u2019s lyric from his \u2018Public Service Announcement\u2019 track.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
