Taylor Swift has issued a statement in response to a tragedy.<\/p>\n
On Monday morning, a 17-year old was arrested in the United Kingdom after he allegedly killed three children during a stabbing at a Swift-themed dance and yoga class in Southport, England.<\/p>\n
To be clear, from what we can gather, the class simply used Swift\u2019s music and possibly other themes related to the artist.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe horror of yesterday\u2019s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I\u2019m just completely in shock,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese were just little kids at a dance class. A third, age 9, then passed away on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
According to the latest press release, eight other<\/em> children were injured and five are in critical condition. Two adults injured in the attack also remain in a critical condition.<\/p>\nIt\u2019s simply awful all around.<\/p>\nTaylor Swift may be the greatest human being on the planet. \u201cAt this early stage, enquiries are ongoing to establish the motive for this tragic incident and we would urge people not to speculate while the investigation is ongoing,\u201d the Merseyside Police statement reads. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe can also confirm that the incident is not currently being treated as terror-related and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy thoughts are with all those affected. I would like to thank the police and emergency services for their swift response. I am being kept updated as the situation develops.\u201d<\/p>\n
