Date night at the CMT Music Awards<\/a>! Several stars brought dates to the red carpet in Austin on Sunday, April 2, including both cohosts, Kane Brown<\/strong><\/a> and Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Kane, 29, walked the red carpet with wife Katelyn Brown<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Jay) ahead of their performance of their hit single with \u201cThank God\u201d later that night. The \u201cLike I Love Country\u201d crooner wore a black and white Alexander McQueen suit while Katelyn, 30, donned a white, strapless Halston gown with white evening gloves and pink tights.<\/p>\n \u201cI just love being beside her. Our daughters get to see mom and dad on TV,\u201d Kane gushed to CMT during rehearsals.<\/p>\n Katelyn, who shares daughters Kingsley, 3, and Kodi, 14 months, with the Tennessee native added: \u201cIt\u2019s super special for our family, not only for me and Kane as husband and wife to do it, but for our little girls to watch mom and dad do it is just wild.\u201d<\/p>\n The duo are the second married couple in country music history to land the No. 1 spot on both Billboard and Aircheck charts. Tim McGraw<\/strong> <\/a>and Faith Hill<\/strong><\/a> were first.<\/p>\n The Philadelphia native said that Kane, who she married in 2018<\/a>, had a feeling the song would be big, but she didn\u2019t know how much success was on the way. \u201cKane says that after we recorded it that he kind of felt that it was gonna be a big song. But for me, I was pretty shocked,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n The \u201cGrand\u201d singer added, \u201cI just knew that the song was good and I knew she could sing incredibly and I knew my fans have been dying and waiting for it. I just knew it was going to be a big song. I didn\u2019t know it was going to be compared to Tim and Faith but I\u2019ll take it.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Katelyn said her husband isn\u2019t one to give advice, despite the two preparing for their first televised performance of their duet.<\/p>\n \u201cKane\u2019s a man of few words, but I think every time, whether it\u2019s for [the CMTs] or his shows that we\u2019re performing at, he\u2019s just like, \u2018You\u2019ve got it, [you\u2019re gonna] kill it.\u2019 Just seeing him so relaxed makes me relaxed, we\u2019re a good balance between the two,\u201d Katelyn shared.<\/p>\n While it was parents\u2019 night out for the Browns, Ballerini made her red carpet debut<\/a> with new beau Chase Stokes<\/strong><\/a>. She posed with her boyfriend, who she started dating earlier this year, on the CMT Music Awards carpet before hosting the show.<\/p>\n \u201cHi Austin \ud83e\udde1 KB u lookin gooooood girl,\u201d Stokes, 30, captioned a video of their arrival via his Instagram Story.<\/p>\n Stokes is Ballerini\u2019s first public romance<\/a> since her split from Morgan Evans<\/strong><\/a>. The \u201cBlindsided\u201d songstress broke the news in August 2022 about her and Evans\u2019 breakup<\/a> after nearly five years of marriage<\/a>. They finalized their divorce the following November.<\/p>\n
