Oh, what a year it\u2019s been! Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> and Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> have officially been together for (at least) a year, and Swifties can\u2019t get enough of the couple\u2019s adorable romance.<\/p>\n On July 26, 2023, Travis, 34, famously announced that he shot his shot with the biggest pop star in the world and it didn\u2019t really go as planned. He gave details about his attempt to give Taylor, 34, his number during an episode of his podcast, \u201cNew Heights<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,\u201d Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce<\/strong>, during the episode. \u201cI was disappointed that she doesn\u2019t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So, I was a little butthurt that I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor was newly single at the time after ending her years-long relationship with Joe Alwyn<\/strong><\/a> in April 2023 and calling off her whirlwind romance with Matty Healy<\/strong> in June 2023. Even though the NFL star wasn\u2019t able to give Taylor his number at the time, it all worked out in the end.<\/p>\n In December 2023, when Taylor was announced as Time\u2019s<\/em><\/a> Person of the Year, she reminisced about the start of their relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cThis all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,\u201d the Grammy winner told the publication.<\/p>\n Since then, the couple has essentially become America\u2019s sweethearts and the world has enjoyed their romance almost as much as they have. Swifties celebrated the pair\u2019s unofficial one-year anniversary on social media with several fans chiming in to wish them well.<\/p>\n \u201cOne year ago today, Travis Kelce was asking how to get a bracelet to Taylor,\u201d one X<\/a> user wrote on Friday, July 26.<\/p>\n \u201cTravis Kelce got Taylor Swift\u2019s attention one year ago today,\u201d another person added<\/a>. \u201cThe rest is history.\u201d<\/p>\n A third<\/a> wrote, \u201cHappy July 26th to those who celebrate! Today is the ACTUAL one year of the podcast dropping (not yesterday.) So glad Travis talked about giving Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet so we could all see a real life romantic comedy play out!\u201d<\/p>\n Travis and the \u201cI Can Do It With a Broken Heart\u201d artist have both gushed about their relationship in public, something Taylor has implied she couldn\u2019t do<\/a> when she was dating men in the past.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you say a relationship is public, that means I\u2019m going to see him do what he loves, we\u2019re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don\u2019t care,\u201d Taylor said during her interview with Time<\/em>. \u201cThe opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you\u2019re seeing someone. And we\u2019re just proud of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n Travis has spoken about his relationship numerous times, including when he spoke with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> and praised Taylor\u2019s talent<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t try and be Taylor, that\u2019s what I learned,\u201d the Ohio native said in April. \u201cYeah, she\u2019s on a whole other stratosphere.
