\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Ncuti Gatwa<\/strong><\/a> and Millie Gibson<\/strong><\/a> hit the stage at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con<\/em><\/strong> on Friday (July 26) in San Diego, Calif.<\/p>\n The Doctor Who<\/strong><\/a><\/em> stars were joined by the series\u2019 showrunner Russell T Davies<\/strong><\/a> for their panel in Hall H.<\/p>\n During the panel, a teaser for the upcoming Christmas special was played, featuring Nicola Coughlan<\/strong><\/a>, plus, Russell<\/strong> officially announced some very big news \u2013 a new five-part spinoff series is coming!<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The War Between The Land And The Sea<\/em> is in the works and will star Russell Tovey<\/strong><\/a> and Gugu Mbatha-Raw<\/strong><\/a>, as well as returning Doctor Who<\/em> cast members Jemma Redgrave<\/strong><\/a> (as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart) and Alexander Devrient<\/strong><\/a> (as Colonel Ibrahim).<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a synopsis: When a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity, an international crisis is triggered. With the entire population at risk, UNIT steps into action as the land and sea wage war.<\/p>\n The spinoff also features the return of the Sea Devils, classic Doctor Who<\/em> villains who were first seen in 1972.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so lucky to work with such a magnificent cast,\u201d Russell T Davies<\/strong> said. \u201cAnd this is a huge, muscular, thrilling drama which will shake The Whoniverse to its foundations.
