The 34-year-old singer released the records as surprises for fans during Covid and opened up about the secrets of their making during her \u2018Eras Tour\u2019 stop at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany. <\/p>\n
She told fans: \u201cI started making \u2018Folklore\u2019 about two days into the pandemic.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was just, like, such a challenge for us as creators, but it was so fulfilling.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen came time to take some pictures for the album. You can\u2019t have hair and makeup, you can\u2019t have wardrobe, you have to just do it yourself.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo I called my friend who has some woods behind her house and was like, \u2018Can I take some pictures in your forest?\u2019 And she said, \u2018Yes\u2019. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI ordered all these nightgowns online and brought them, and then did my own hair and makeup\u2026 just was like, \u2018Guess I\u2019ll braid it? I don\u2019t know\u2019.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe shots of her sporting the look were captured by photographer Beth Garrabrant, and showed Taylor with two braided buns. <\/p>\n
\n\u2018Folklore\u2019 was released on 24 July, 2020 and months later on 11 December the same year, Taylor surprised her fans again by releasing her ninth studio album \u2018Evermore\u2019. <\/p>\n
\nTaylor also told fans making albums is usually a \u201ccollaborative\u201d process, but that in lockdown she had to find new ways to create with producers Jack Antonoff, 40, and Aaron Dessner, 48, at a distance. <\/p>\n
\nTaylor took the lead on songwriting and recording at home, while Jack and Aaron helped via phone.<\/p>\n
\nTaylor mentioned her hair again in an Instagram post after her Hamburg show, saying it had unlocked her \u201cfuzzy\u201d look.<\/p>\n
\nHer \u2018Eras Tour\u2019 is heading to Munich on Saturday (27.07.24) and Sunday. <\/p>\n
\nShe will then travel to Austria and Poland for performances throughout early August, with the European leg of Taylor\u2019s record-breaking concluding with a five-night stint in London, after she did three nights in the capital earlier this summer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
