\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Seth Rogen<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his role as Donkey Kong in the upcoming, The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 40-year-old actor got candid about the possibility of a spinoff all about Donkey Kong and just what he says about all the critics over his voice as the video game villain.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to ComicBook.com<\/a>, Seth <\/strong>said he was very upfront about his voice acting talents ahead of being cast.<\/p>\n \u201cI was very clear, I don\u2019t do voices. And if you want me to be in this movie, it\u2019s gonna sound like me and that\u2019s it,\u201d he explained. \u201cThat was the beginning and end of that conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n Seth <\/strong>went on, \u201cI was like, \u2018If you want Donkey Kong to sound a lot like me, I\u2019m your guy.\u2019 But it did seem to work, you know, I think in the film and in the game I think all you really know about Donkey Kong is that he throws barrels and he does not like Mario very much.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s honestly kind of what I ran with was this idea that he hates Mario, that they are kind have like an adversarial relationship, that he\u2019s annoyed by him, that he doesn\u2019t want to be stuck with him, that he wishes he was on this adventure without him,\u201d he added. \u201cTo me that was, that was funny, and that was kind of the root of the character, and it was kind of born of the mythology of the games.\u201d<\/p>\n As far as a Donkey Kong sequel, Seth <\/strong>isn\u2019t opposed to it.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of opportunity there,\u201d he told Collider<\/a> in separate interview. \u201cI think the family unit of the Kongs seems to be \u2014 and if the Fast and Furious films have taught us anything it\u2019s that it\u2019s all about family.\u201d<\/p>\n The Super Mario Bros.
