Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong>‘s campaign HQ is calling for a \u201cFemininomenon\u201d at the polls this November, using the hit song from Chappell Roan<\/a> in their latest meme.<\/p>\n In a new meme posted to the Harris HQ X (formerly Twitter) account Tuesday evening<\/a>, Roan’s voice soundtracks photos of Republican nominee Donald Trump<\/strong> peering with a baffled expression out from under the red brim of his MAGA cap, juxtaposed against snapshots of Harris looking poised in suits and pearls. Roan\u2019s declarative lyrics\u2014\u201dwhat we really need is a femininomenon!\u201d\u2014are spelled out below as the song blares.<\/p>\n This content can also be viewed on the site it originates<\/a> from.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n If there\u2019s one word to characterize Harris\u2019s nascent 2024 presidential campaign<\/a> so far, it\u2019s \u201cagile.\u201d Her journey to the Democratic nomination is unprecedented, out of the vice presidential frying pan and into the candidate fire mere months before the general election. More than merely promptly updating logos and web domains, however, Harris\u2019s campaign has already shown its competency at quickly jumping on cultural moments and aligning itself with the interests of coveted voter bases. Roan herself is a breakout personality this year, making a name for herself as \u201cyour favorite artist\u2019s favorite artist<\/a>.\u201d For Harris\u2019s campaign to make use of a song that, as described by Roan<\/a>, is \u201cabout how it’s a phenomenon if sleeping with a man is better than sleeping with a girl. From my perspective, at least,\u201d is a bold move, especially taken in contrast with campaigns of yore going all in on the likes of Bruce Springsteen<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cBorn in the USA\u201d and its power-pop kin.<\/p>\n Harris HQ’s mixtape continues to grow, with sources reporting that the campaign got Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u2019s personal blessing to use “Freedom\u201d<\/a> as the veep\u2019s walk-on music, and British pop star Charli XCX<\/strong> endorsing Harris as \u201cbrat,\u201d<\/a> a label that the campaign readily embraced, slime green aesthetic and all. Is Harris in reality a \u201cpack of cigs, a Bic lighter, and a strappy white top with no bra\u201d type of girl, as Charli describes as key components at the heart of brattitude? Unclear, but her campaign is going with it.<\/p>\n Who will be the next to provide the backing track for Harris\u2019s notably diverse, all-female lineup of entertainment, getting it hot like Papa John and making a bitch go on and on<\/a>? Might Trump foe Taylor Swift<\/strong> have something to say<\/a> about this?
