Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> is celebrating Folklore<\/i>\u2019s fourth anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift marked the milestone during her Eras Tour <\/i>show in Hamburg, Germany, on Wednesday, July 24. The singer, 34, released her Grammy-winning pandemic album four years earlier. It combined folk and pop music, and an ethereal sound created with producers Aaron Dessner<\/strong> and Jack Antonoff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBecause making an album is usually such a collaborative situation, you usually get lots of people together,\u201d Swift told concertgoers, according tov USA Today<\/i><\/span><\/a>. \u201cYou usually get to play all these new songs for your friends or your band, and you get to be in the same room with the people that you\u2019re either writing with or producing with.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But with Folklore<\/i>, Swift found unexpected obstacles. \u201cI would sit in my guest bedroom and record the vocals and [Dessner and Antonoff] would be on the phone,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt was just like such a challenge for us as creators, but it was so fulfilling.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSome Swifties have been luckier than others when it comes to the surprise songs set of Taylor Swift\u2019s The Eras Tour. Since launching her record-breaking tour in March 2023, Swift has used the penultimate section of her show to perform songs across her entire discography that aren\u2019t included in the concert\u2019s expansive setlist. On occasion, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Due to social distancing, Swift couldn\u2019t call upon a glam squad to style her look for Folklore<\/i>. She kept things low-key as a result.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThen came time to take some pictures for the album,\u201d she said onstage Wednesday. \u201cYou can\u2019t have hair or makeup. You can\u2019t have wardrobe. You have to just do it yourself. I called my friend [photographer Beth Garrabran<\/strong>t] who has some woods behind her house and was like, \u2018Can I take some pictures in your forest?\u2019 and she said, \u2018Yes.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift then \u201c<\/span>ordered all these nightgowns online and brought them and then did my own hair and makeup. It just makes me happy to look back on that period of time because we never made anything in that way before that and it was cool to know that we could and the way that you guys have embraced this album. And the storytelling on this album has just warmed my heart, and I\u2019m just so appreciative of it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
