Bella Thorne<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out against the Ozempic craze.<\/p>\n

Days after sharing a video via her Instagram<\/a> stories in which she admitted she was not \u201cfeeling good\u201d about her body, especially with \u201ceverybody on Ozempic,\u201d Thorne, 26, opened up to Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively about the \u201ccrazy\u201d beauty standards it promotes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve [made] so much progress in the body realm of self love and what is beautiful and what makes beautiful,\u201d she explained while promoting her partnership with Illicit Elixirs. \u201cIt \u2026 just feels like we\u2019ve taken so many years, so many steps backwards with a craze.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celebrities have spoken<\/a> out on both sides of the Ozempic issue, with some talking about how the drug \u2014 which is meant to treat Type 2 diabetes \u2014 has helped them lose weight. Others, like Thorne, are pointing to the issues that widespread use of the drug can present.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t think it\u2019s good,\u201d she said. \u201cWhatever age you are, but especially a lot of the younger generation growing up, those are the times where they\u2019re first understanding what beautiful means and how people perceive beautiful. It\u2019s just so incredibly unfortunate. I\u2019m hoping that that really dies down and goes away and we can go back to the progress that we\u2019ve made accepting all types of bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

In case her stance wasn\u2019t clear, Thorne left no room for doubt at the end of her Instagram video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have swam every day and I have sweat out everything possible and I have walked everywhere. And, I\u2019m finally feeling good about myself, okay? I\u2019m finally feeling good, so Ozempic, you can f\u2013k off,\u201d she said, giving her camera the middle finger.<\/p>\n

Thorne won\u2019t be promoting Ozempic this summer, but will gladly go to bat for Illicit Elixirs. The beverage supports dopamine production without the use of artificial flavors, caffeine of CBS\/THC. Thorne worked with the brand to develop her very own Naughty Behavior Citrus<\/a> flavor, which includes blood orange, prickly pear and other real fruit juices.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOzempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss \u2014 with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI definitely wanted something that was on the tarter side,\u201d Thorne explained about creating her signature flavor. \u201cI don\u2019t like sweet drinks .\u2026 They mixed the blood orange and I was like, \u2018Oh, hell yeah.\u2019 I love it and the color was so important to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
