Adam Lambert<\/strong><\/a> and Auli\u2019i Cravalho<\/strong><\/a> are making their Broadway debuts in the smash-hit revival of Cabaret <\/em><\/strong>as the Emcee and Sally Bowles, respectively!<\/p>\n

The show is currently playing<\/a> at the August Wilson Theatre with Eddie Redmayne<\/strong><\/a> and Gayle Rankin<\/strong><\/a> in those roles. Eddie <\/strong>and Gayle <\/strong>will play the roles for the last time on September 14. On September 16, Adam <\/strong>and Auli\u2019i<\/strong> will take over.<\/p>\n

They will take on the roles until Sunday, March 30, 2025. Casting for after March 30 will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

Adam <\/strong>is, of course, known for his run on American Idol<\/em> and numerous other musical achievements since, including playing with Queen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Auli\u2019i <\/strong>grew to prominence after her work in Moana<\/em>, and has recently been seen in the reboot of Mean Girls<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Adam <\/strong>said, \u201cGrowing up on the musical theater stage, it was always a childhood dream to perform on Broadway. With this production of Cabaret<\/em>, it finally felt like the right time to accept an invitation to make my debut. The themes of this show have always resonated with me and given the current sociopolitical climate the world is in, feel eerily timely. Eddie <\/strong>and Gayle <\/strong>have been a dream pairing and I\u2019m looking forward to working with Auli\u2019i<\/strong> to create our own magic. It is thrilling to be able to sink my teeth into this important story and collaborate with the rest of the talented artists in the cast and crew.\u201d<\/p>\n

Auli\u2019i <\/strong>said, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to join the long line of talented women who have taken on the iconic \u2018Sally Bowles;\u2019 most recently, the woman I watched with notebook and pen in hand, the dynamite Gayle Rankin. To join a show with so much history \u2013 and such a stellar cast and crew \u2013 means it\u2019s quite literally an honor to get my butt kicked each week.
