Prince William<\/a>\u2019s salary for his first full year from the Duchy of Cornwall estate has been revealed: a whopping $30 million.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Integrated Annual Report published by the Duchy of Cornwall — the estate that manages the royal family’s properties across England —\u00a0the foundation distributed a surplus of \u00a323.6 million to William, 42, in his first year as the Duke of Cornwall. He took over the title from his father,\u00a0<\/span>King Charles III<\/a>, after <\/span>his coronation in May 2023<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 2023-2024 financial\u00a0year was\u00a0William’s first full year in the new role after Queen Elizabeth II’s September 2022 death led to Charles, 75, ascending to the throne. Charles had waited more than 70 years to become the king during his mother’s reign. Along with the Duke of Cornwall title and the Duchy of Cornwall estate, William was named the Patron of the Football Association, a position previously held by his grandmother.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Duchy of Cornwall was established in 1337 by King Edward III and is used to provide funds for the heir to the throne. Currently, it serves William, <\/span>Kate Middleton<\/a> and the couple’s three children, <\/span>Prince George<\/a>, 11,\u00a0<\/span>Princess Charlotte<\/a>, 9, and\u00a0<\/span>Prince Louis<\/a>, 6.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The fund covers William, Kate, 42, and their kids’ “official, charitable and private activities” and the estate is made up of “livestock farms, residential and commercial properties, as well as forests, rivers, quarries, and coastline” spanning more than 135,000 acres of land.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After subtracting household expenses for his family, the next in line to the throne is believed to pay income taxes on the money from the estate. For comparison,\u00a0<\/span>Charles made some \u00a324 million<\/a> ($30.93 million) in the 2022-2023 year from the Duchy of Cornwall estate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The report comes after a string of public appearances by William in recent weeks, including a <\/span>father-son day out<\/a>\u00a0with George at the Euro Final match in Berlin, Germany last week and a trip to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in London.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n William has been pulling triple duty as a dad, working royal and a doting husband after Kate revealed\u00a0<\/span>her cancer diagnosis<\/a>\u00a0in March. The pair have kept her health updates under wraps, but she has recently been returning to public outings, even taking Charlotte <\/span>to Wimbledon<\/a>\u00a0recently.<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to the Wimbledon stop, Kate marked her official return to the world in June as she attended\u00a0<\/span>Trooping the Colour<\/a>. The appearance was reportedly a one-off, however, as the return to the spotlight took a lot out of her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
