Country music\u2019s finest stars are taking to the 2023 CMT Awards<\/a> in sunny Austin, Texas, and it\u2019s clear these icons have come to slay the red carpet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This year\u2019s ceremony is hosted by industry superstars <\/span>Kelsea Ballerini <\/b><\/a>and <\/span>Kane Brown<\/b>, with the \u201cThank God\u201d artist teasing the show to be \u201ccompletely different\u201d than before since it\u2019s being hosted in Texas, rather than its normal home in Tennessee.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEverybody usually home in Nashville right afterwards,\u201d Kane explained to<\/span> CBS News<\/span><\/i> ahead of the event. \u201cAfter other awards shows, we all have afterparties, everybody goes out, you get to go see everybody, tell them how good they did on the show. We\u2019re going to get to do that this year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While both artists have hosted the awards in the past, this year is extra special for Kelsea following the February 14 release<\/a> of her <\/span>Rolling Up the Welcome Mat<\/span><\/i><\/a> EP. The Tennessee native called it her \u201chealing journey,\u201d seemingly telling her story of her divorce<\/a> from <\/span>Morgan Evans<\/b><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s my heart. I\u2019ve never been this open, I\u2019ve never been this bold, and I\u2019ve never been this proud of my art,\u201d the \u201cMountain With a View\u201d artist shared via social media after dropping the six songs. \u201cSo with love and respect, I\u2019m rolling up the welcome mat.
