The 59-year-old \u2018Blue Lagoon\u2019 actress launched Commence \u2013 a hair-care line for women over 40, this year \u2013 and is a busy mum to children Rowan Francis Henchy, 21, and \u200b\u200bGrier Hammond Henchy, 18, who she has with her film producer husband Chris Henchy, 60, and has now admitted her hectic schedule has left her an insomniac in a state of permanent exhaustion.<\/p>\n
She made the admission in a question and answer session on her Instagram video to promote her hair line when the account IV Juice Bar asked her: \u201cHow is your soul feeling? I\u2019m a tired mom and business owner.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brooke replied: \u201cMy soul is okay. If you\u2019re a mom, you’re tired. If you\u2019re a business owner, you\u2019re tired. So I\u2019m always tired.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd the real kicker is that after a certain age I\u2019ve stopped sleeping. It\u2019s not for the faint of heart.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s just all, like, difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added about how she was still trying to nurture what she holds most dear in life: \u201cI think deep down, the things that really matter the most to me (are) my family \u2013 their health.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe fact that I\u2019m still standing \u2013 those things feed my soul.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite her success as a model and actress, Brooke recently revealed she was<\/p>\n
\nagainst her teenage daughter going into modelling.<\/p>\n
\nBrooke \u2013 who has spoken out about being raped by a movie executive and feeling sexualised as a child star \u2013 said she \u201cfought for so long\u201d to keep her younger girl out of the business, but has realised things are \u201cdifferent\u201d than when she started in acting.<\/p>\n
\nShe said about Grier\u2019s blossoming modelling career on \u2018Live with Kelly and Mark\u2019: \u201cThe rules have changed since I was (a model.)<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI fought it for so long. It\u2019s such a different industry now than it was.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nBrooke said Grier is doing \u201clittle things here and there\u201d, but admitted social media still piled pressure on models.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cWe didn\u2019t have social media when I was a model,\u201d and branded the modelling industry a \u201crat race\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nBrooke did modelling shoots for print publications, and said she was horrified Grier was \u201cinterested in runway\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cThat\u2019s brutal and backstage is just brutal. I never did runway, I don\u2019t think I would\u2019ve been able to handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBrooke said when she relented to her girl\u2019s desire to go into modelling she set ground rules.<\/p>\n
\nShe added she told Grier: \u201cYou are going to have a great work ethic, it\u2019s not going to be comfortable, and you\u2019re going to listen to me, those are my rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
