Olivia Plath<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t sure how to be single after her divorce from Ethan Plath<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 especially since he was her first boyfriend.<\/p>\n

\u201cDating after marrying the first guy that you ever even held hands with is wild,\u201d Olivia, 26, confesses in Us Weekly<\/em>\u2019s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, July 23, episode of Welcome to Plathville<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Olivia was married to Ethan, 26, for five years before they announced their split<\/a> in October 2023. During the season 6 premiere of Welcome to Plathville<\/em>, which aired earlier this month, Ethan revealed that he was still struggling to say goodbye<\/a>. Olivia, however, was confident that divorce was the only path for the pair, but single life is still an adjustment.<\/p>\n

\u201cCasual connections are really hard for me,\u201d Olivia says in the clip after talking with her sister Lydia Grace<\/strong> about picking up men at bars. \u201cI don\u2019t know if that\u2019s a residue from how I was raised, but I\u2019m trying to, like, work through that. The learning curve is quite steep.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olivia and Lydia Grace, 24, were both raised in a Christian fundamentalism family, which has left both of them trying to figure out how to date organically. (Olivia told Teen Vogue<\/em><\/a> in April that her religious upbringing is something she would \u201ccall a cult,\u201d partially due to the organization\u2019s patriarchal gender norms and strict guidelines for women.)<\/p>\n

Although Olivia is hesitant to jump back into the dating pool, her sister has seemingly embraced casual romances.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWelcome to Plathville stars Ethan Plath and Olivia Plath faced their fair share of challenges before calling it quits. The reality stars wed in October 2018 after being engaged for nearly a year. Despite the occasion, the newlyweds faced tension with Ethan\u2019s ultra-conservative parents, Kim and Barry Plath, at the start of their relationship. \u201cWhen [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have to get married to have sex. I don\u2019t think [that] anymore,\u201d Lydia Grace tells Olivia in the clip after her big sister points out the \u201cextra-large\u201d box of condoms in her room. \u201cWe\u2019re experimenting. We\u2019re figuring it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olivia, meanwhile, isn\u2019t sure she can be so nonchalant after being married<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know how you go out to bars and, like, you just let guys get that close to you and touch you and buy you drinks,\u201d Olivia says, to which Lydia Grace assures she\u2019ll just have to \u201cset some boundaries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olivia and Lydia Grace are two of 10 children, many of whom are still being raised by their conservative parents in Virginia. The sisters have moved on with their own lives \u2014 Olivia is in California, while Lydia Grace is in Arizona \u2014 and they are slowly finding their way together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait for you to come visit for a week. And we\u2019ll do some fun stuff,\u201d Lydia Grace tells her sister. Olivia asks, \u201cIs fun stuff going out to the bars?\u201d before agreeing to be her sibling\u2019s \u201cwing woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
