Andrew Garfield’s<\/a> girlfriend, <\/span>Kate Tomas<\/a>, is opening up about the public speculation and “misogynistic” scrutiny that comes with dating an A-list celebrity.<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man,” the spiritual advisor and <\/span>“professional witch”<\/a> shared in a new interview with <\/span>The Times<\/em><\/a>. “I don\u2019t want to sit under anybody\u2019s shadow.”<\/span><\/p>\n Plenty established in her life and career before she was first spotted out with Garfield, 40, in March 2024, Tomas, 42, counts <\/span>Lena Dunham<\/a> and\u00a0<\/span>Megan Mullally<\/a> among her star-studded clientele, who come to her for tarot readings, rituals, spiritual mentorship and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n There’s even a masterclass on seduction, which unfortunately led to “horrific accusations… that I\u2019d used magic to seduce my partner” after her relationship became public knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n “People that are really attractive are full of charisma because they are authentically themselves and confidently anchored in that,” she said of what leads to a successful seduction.<\/span><\/p>\n Confidence, Tomas admits, can be difficult to maintain in a world where your life is dissected online and paparazzi “take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst.”<\/span><\/p>\n “Nothing could prepare me for having literally thousands of women telling me I’m ugly, I’m unattractive, I’m less than in every conceivable way,” she shared, noting that she “fell back on” her own teachings to overcome the negative energy. “The most powerful form of psychic protection is knowing who you are and being OK with that.”<\/span><\/p>\n It’s no surprise that Garfield hasn’t spoken out about his new romance; the\u00a0<\/span>Under the Banner of Heaven<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star typically strives to keep his private life under wraps.
