Just like the movies! Melanie Lynskey<\/strong><\/a> and Jason Ritter<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s love story closely resembles a Hollywood romance \u2014 complete with a workplace meet-cute that led to their happily ever after.<\/p>\n The duo first met while filming 2013\u2019s The Big Ask<\/em> and went on to star in two more movies together before announcing in February 2017 that they got engaged<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNow he\u2019s my fianc\u00e9,\u201d Lynskey said during an appearance on Hollywood Today Live <\/em>at the time. \u201cYes, I know, I\u2019m announcing it.\u201d<\/p>\n Less than two years later, Us Weekly<\/em> broke the news in January 2019<\/a> that the Yellowjackets<\/em><\/a> star and the Parenthood<\/em><\/a> alum welcomed their first child. Lynskey confirmed her daughter\u2019s arrival later that month<\/a>, revealing that the little one was born in December 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cWe feel lucky to have been able to have our news just be for friends and family for a while, but I guess the story got out, so! Yes!\u201d the Two and a Half Men<\/em><\/a> alum tweeted in January 2019. \u201cWe love her so much; she\u2019s perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n She went on to jokingly clarify a few details that were circulating, writing, \u201cI would like to correct a couple of things that have been stated in articles online: 1) Jason was NOT in Boy Meets World <\/em><\/a>and wow that would have been pretty easy to check. 2) I did NOT welcome the baby \u2018quietly,\u2019 I was blasting A$AP Rocky<\/strong><\/a> and yelling a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n Since welcoming their baby girl, the couple have continued to keep their relationship and home life somewhat private. They have, however, poked fun at each other on social media from time to time.<\/p>\n In October 2021, Lynskey trolled her man<\/a> after he promoted multiple auction items for a Huntington\u2019s Disease Society of America fundraiser but failed to mention a prize that featured a hangout with the Sweet Home Alabama<\/em><\/a> actress.<\/p>\n \u201cVERY SURPRISED that Jason chose to focus on the fact that you can bid on amazing original artwork by @_AlexHirsch @DanaTerrace & more, and NOT on the fact that you could win a zoom with me, but that\u2019s ok, Jason,\u201d Lynskey joked via Twitter. \u201cGet a zoom with me OR amazing original artwork, you decide.\u201d<\/p>\n Ritter quickly responded to his partner<\/a>, writing, \u201cHahaha!! I did a TikTok Live where I was very explicit about what a huge deal it is for a generally introverted person to donate a zoom!\u201d<\/p>\n The California native<\/a> made it clear that he appreciated Lynskey, adding, \u201cI love you so much, and thank you for looking after our daughter the whole time I\u2019m doing this event tonight!!\ud83e\udd70\ud83d\ude0d.\u201d<\/p>\n The Candy<\/em> star<\/a> replied, \u201cYou are so cute.
