Anna Faris<\/a> “wishes” she had got the chance to know Matthew Perry better.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Anna Faris guest-starred in four episodes of the final season of Friends 20 years ago<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old actress worked with former ‘Friends’ star Matthew – who died in October 2023 at the age of 54 – guest starred in the final season of the classic NBC sitcom and while it was “an honour” for him to act opposite him, admitted that she regrets only ever having “brief interactions” with him on set. <\/p>\n
She told People: “It was an honour, and he was just an incredible person. I wish I knew him better. It feels a little audacious for me to speak too much about somebody that I felt like I had brief interactions with, but they were wonderful and I am honoured to be a part of the show.”<\/p>\n
The ‘My Spy The Eternal City’ actress explained it was her “understanding” that Matthew had suggested her for the role of Erica, a pregnant woman who gives birth to twins, whom Matthew’s character Chandler and his wife Monica (Courteney Cox) adopt after seeing her in ‘Lost in Translation’ but to this day still cannot believe her luck. <\/p>\n
She added: “That was my understanding at the time. He told me that he’d seen me in ‘Lost in Translation’ and he thought I was good.<\/p>\n
\n“I worked mostly with Courteney and Matthew, and they were unbelievable to me. They were so kind.<\/p>\n
\n“I mean, it was such an intimidating idea. I mean, to give birth on ‘Friends’. ‘Friends?’ The final season?”<\/p>\n
\nAnna explained that the rest of the cast – which was also made up of Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow – were “emotional” at the time she was shooting her scenes because they were coming to the end of a decade on air but didn’t want to get in the way too much. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: “They were also getting pretty emotional because they were wrapping things up. It was really sentimental.<\/p>\n
\n“At the same time, I felt like, ‘Okay, I should probably go back to my dressing room during this group hug.<\/p>\n
\n“They don’t rerun too much of the last season because I think I get a check for nine cents every, you know, four months!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
