The actor is perhaps best known for starring as geeky Brian Johnson<\/a> alongside the 1980s\u2019 \u2018Brat Pack\u2019 gang of actors including Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy in John Hughes\u2019 1985 high school detention movie, and said he got together with three of them to mark the milestone.<\/p>\n

He told People about going out with then after the trio turned up at one of his fan signings: \u201cJudd, Molly and her husband and some other friends went to dinner after the signing. It turned out to be really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anthony, who turned 56 in April, added he went against tradition and paid for the whole table despite it being his birthday. <\/p>\n

He joked: \u201cYou know what? I like keeping people on their toes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nMichael went on about how the reunion left him feeling delighted: \u201cIt was actually really great\u2026 it was cool to see Molly and we\u2019re sharing pictures of our kids.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cJudd is still John Bender (his delinquent character from \u2018The Breakfast Club\u2019.) \u201cHe\u2019s an original. He really is. I love that. He\u2019s like part Hunter Thompson part\u2026 he\u2019s got so many varied interests. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cHe\u2019s really a brilliant guy. I mean, he\u2019s actually really super, super smart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nFather-of-one Michael has 13-month-old son Michael Anthony Hall II with his actress and ex-model wife Lucia Oskerova, 33, while \u2018Sixteen Candles\u2019 star Molly and her 49-year-old writer husband Panio Gianopoulos have daughter Mathilda, 20, and twins Adele and Roman, 15.<\/p>\n

\nMichael is starring in the new Netflix movie \u2018Trigger Warning\u2019, and said fans brought him three cakes at his signing on his birthday.<\/p>\n

\nHe added about the Comic-Con event: \u201cI had three birthday cakes (from fans.) I was like, \u2018I should do more signings on my birthday.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
