Chet Hanks<\/strong> will appear on the small screen as a housemate on The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets<\/em> \u2014 and his famous parents are on board.<\/p>\n

Chet, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> that Tom Hanks<\/strong><\/a> and Rita Wilson<\/strong><\/a> \u201cwere supportive\u201d of his decision to join the cast of the MTV reality series. (Tom, 68, is also the father of son Colin Hanks<\/strong> and daughter Elizabeth Ann Hanks<\/strong>, whom he welcomed with late wife Samantha Lewes<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Surreal Life<\/em> is a different kind of show. It\u2019s not messy and negative,\u201d Chet explained. \u201cIt\u2019s more about personal growth and relationships with people and vulnerability. It\u2019s a completely different type of reality TV. I had full support in doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

As an actor, rapper and YouTuber, Chet has appeared in recurring roles on TV series Empire<\/em>, Shameless<\/em> and Your Honor<\/em>, as well as scoring guest roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> and Atlanta<\/em>. The Surreal Life<\/em> is Chet\u2019s first foray into an unscripted reality series, and he hoped to give it his all.<\/p>\n

Chet has already caught the attention of Surreal Life fans after teasers for the season showed him getting flirty with Bravo alum Kim Zolciak Biermann<\/strong>, who is estranged from her husband, Kroy Biermann<\/strong>. After calling her a \u201cMILF,\u201d<\/a> a short clip showed what appeared to be Chet and Zolciak Biermann, 46, snuggling in bed, but an insider exclusively told Us<\/em> that the trailer is not what it seems.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were flirting. They didn\u2019t hook up, but there was definitely an attraction between them,\u201d the insider said in October 2023. \u201c[Kim] thinks he\u2019s good-looking.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing but good vibes between Chet and Zolciak Biermann, who called her costar a \u201cgood guy\u201d<\/a> and admitted they had an immediate attraction while speaking exclusively with Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n
