Macy Gray<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t approach MTV\u2019s Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets<\/em><\/a> the way some of her castmates did. She admits that resulted in some tension, particularly with Tyler Posey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively ahead of the show\u2019s premiere, Gray, 56, said she and Posey, 32, butted heads on multiple occasions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t really expecting a lot of emoting and talking about our feelings,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cI just wasn\u2019t really in that headspace when everybody else was I guess. A lot of times, they would set us up to get all emotional and maybe disagree a little bit. Me and Tyler went at it a couple of times actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

This was Gray\u2019s first reality TV appearance, and the \u201cI Try\u201d singer clashed with Posey, who was more open with cast members than Gray cared to be.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just remember wanting to have fun and just bulls\u2013t around and then everybody got heavy,\u201d she explained. \u201cTyler is very open so he\u2019s always ready to get deep and stuff. Sometimes, I\u2019m just not up for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gray added that the entire experience was an adjustment for her, saying, \u201cIt was definitely new for me. I haven\u2019t had roommates in a really long time. I knew who everybody was but I didn\u2019t know anybody personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not everyone had a tense experience with Posey. Singer Ally Brooke<\/strong> told Us<\/em> that she and him became friends on the show.\u201cI had such unique relationships and I value each relationship that I have with everyone,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s tough to pick. One of the closest would be Tyler for sure. You\u2019ll see that on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Gray, she came away more impressed with Kim Zolciak<\/strong><\/a>, who she already knew as a Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/em> fan. She said the two spent \u201ca little bit of time together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like Kim. I\u2019m a Housewives<\/em> fan. I don\u2019t think they really present her like she is,\u201d she added. \u201cShe\u2019s just a real person. She\u2019s a mom and she\u2019s just a really cool person. She\u2019s super cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even if Gray and Posey didn\u2019t always get along on the show, Gray didn\u2019t leave the experience with any hard feelings.<\/p>\n
