Ryan Serhant<\/strong> is a master at blending reality TV with real estate.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old real estate mogul has appeared on various shows, from Bravo\u2019s Million Dollar Listing: New York<\/em><\/a> to his latest project on Netflix, Owning Manhattan,<\/em>\u00a0and spoke exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> about the significant differences between filming for these two major networks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Bravo. I wouldn\u2019t be here without them,\u201d Serhant shared on Thursday, July 18. However, he noted that the structured format of cable television came with its own set of limitations.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the nature of cable TV, even though it\u2019s streaming now, you have advertisers and commercial breaks,\u201d Serhant explained. \u201cYou have to create episodes that make people want to tune in next week, which is a different vibe than \u2018watch it now.’\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2021, Jason Tartick launched a \u201cTrading Secrets\u201d podcast, during which he is focused on \u201cbreak[ing] the stigma that we shouldn\u2019t [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Serhant emphasized that this traditional format often restricted creative freedom, saying, \u201cThere were certain things we couldn\u2019t really play with.\u201d In contrast, Netflix provided a more liberating experience, allowing him and his team to \u201cplay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a producer on it as well,\u201d he added, \u201cif you want to create something no one\u2019s seen before in reality TV, the voiceover, the orchestra, the story, and the way all eight episodes almost play out like one documentary\u2014you can\u2019t do that on cable.\u201d<\/p>\n

This freedom and flexibility made everything \u201cbigger.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crew was insane. Everything was just wild. It was bigger,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
