The Hallmark Channel announced in June 2024 that it was creating a holiday movie seemingly based on the pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end\u2019s popular romance, appropriately (and adorably) titled Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story<\/em>. The network is wasting no time getting the film into production, so many details about the cast and more have already been revealed.<\/p>\n Since the movie centers around the Kansas City Chiefs, it only makes sense to film Holiday Touchdown<\/em> entirely in Kansas City, Missouri. The holiday flick is expected to feature scenes at the famous GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where Taylor and Travis\u2019 love story first began. Production will reportedly begin in August 2024.<\/p>\n Holiday Touchdown<\/em> stars Hunter King<\/em> as Alana Higman, who is \u201csure that her family\u2019s lifelong history as a Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them a frontrunner to win the team\u2019s \u2018Fan of the Year\u2019 contest,\u201d according to Hallmark\u2019s press release. Meanwhile, Tyler Hines<\/em> plays Derrick, the team\u2019s director of fan engagement, who is \u201ctasked with evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs the pair spends time together, it\u2019s clear there\u2019s a spark between them, but when her grandfather\u2019s (Ed Begley Jr.<\/strong>) vintage Chiefs good luck winter hat goes missing, Alana begins to doubt everything she believed about fate, destiny and even questions her future with Derrick \u2014 unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary,\u201d the synopsis reads.<\/p>\n Though the movie does not directly follow Travis and Taylor\u2019s multimillion-dollar romance<\/a>, Hallmark hinted that it was inspired by the couple by including the Love Story<\/em> part of the title \u2014 seemingly a reference to Taylor\u2019s song of the same name. Additionally, Hallmark\u2019s Chief Brand Officer Darren Abbott<\/strong> seemingly dropped a Traylor Easter egg in his statement about the film.<\/p>\n \u201cWith Hallmark and the Kansas City Chiefs both homegrown, rooted in values, tradition and community, there is a special alchemy between these two iconic organizations,\u201d he said. As Swifties know, Taylor\u2019s Tortured Poets Department<\/em> album features a song called \u201cThe Alchemy,\u201d which is believed to be about Travis.<\/p>\n In addition to Hunter, Tyler and Ed, the TV movie stars Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong>.
