Shaquille O\u2019Neal<\/strong><\/a> blamed his friend and longtime TV cohost Charles Barkley<\/strong><\/a> for starting some fowl<\/i> gossip about Joy Behar<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the Wednesday, July 17, episode of The View<\/i><\/a>, Behar, 81, confronted O\u2019Neal, 52, about the \u201cbig rumor\u201d that he \u201ckicked me out\u201d of one of his Big Chicken chain restaurants and had the daytime talk show host \u201cbanned for life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCharles Barkley, I know you started that and I hate you,\u201d O\u2019Neal responded. \u201cJoy, I want to say I would never kick you out a restaurant. I love you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The rumor appears to have started on a satire website<\/a> in April with a headline reading: \u201cShaq Ejects Joy Behar From His Big Chicken Eatery, \u2018Keep Your Toxicity Out.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Still, O\u2019Neal couldn\u2019t resist from blaming Barkley, 61, his Inside the NBA<\/i> cohost since 2011.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo you know what I did?\u201d O\u2019Neal asked Behar as he reached into his suit pocket. \u201cSince I\u2019m the owner of the restaurant, I give you a lifetime warranty to my restaurant. I would never kick you out. Ever, ever.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal presented Behar with a Big Chicken card, apparently good for free food at any of the chain\u2019s locations. Cofounded by O\u2019Neal in 2018, Big Chicken is a fast casual restaurant with stores in 18 states.<\/span><\/p>\n

Promising \u201cBig Flavor, Big Food, Big Fun,\u201d the menu consists of items like chicken sandwiches, chicken grilled cheese, chicken tenders and milkshakes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI love a Big Chicken, don\u2019t you?\u201d Behar said after receiving her gift.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later, during a discussion about O\u2019Neal\u2019s new game show Lucky 13<\/i>, the four-time NBA champion<\/a> joked about how Barkley might fare as a contestant \u2014 and used it as another opportunity to beg for Behar\u2019s forgiveness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCharles is not that smart. I apologize for that rumor, whoever started it,\u201d O\u2019Neal told Behar, kissing her hand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
