Selma Blair<\/strong><\/a> revealed there\u2019s a new man in her life and shared that her boyfriend doesn\u2019t work in Hollywood.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s not in this business, although he has produced before,\u201d Selma, 52, told Us Weekly<\/span><\/i><\/a> about <\/span>her boyfriend<\/span><\/a> in an interview published on Wednesday, July 17. \u201cI wanted a Midwest man and I found a real Midwest man.\u201d<\/p>\n While she didn\u2019t reveal his identity, Selma did share that they met organically. \u201cI saw him from across a table and now he\u2019s my boyfriend,\u201d she said. \u201c[I think] relationships are best kept out of press if possible. Nobody wants to be exposed to scrutiny. But yes, it\u2019s possible to find love at 52. And beyond!\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to her current romance, Selma has been involved in two public relationships since stepping into the spotlight. The Legally Blonde<\/span><\/i> actress married <\/span>Ahmet Zappa<\/b> in 2004, though their romance wasn\u2019t meant to be and they split in 2006. She went on to date designer<\/span> Jason Bleick<\/b> from 2010 until 2012, and they <\/span>welcomed their son, Arthur<\/span><\/a>, in 2011.<\/p>\n While she was married in the past, Selma told the outlet she has no plans to walk down the aisle in the future<\/span><\/a>. \u201cFitting anything in as a mother wanting to build a career and figure out when you\u2019re going to get your blood treatments in \u2014 a boyfriend falls by the wayside really easily,\u201d she said. \u201c<\/span>That\u2019s why I would never want to get married<\/span><\/a>. It\u2019s a major setup to fail.\u201d<\/p>\n The Cruel Intentions actress also opened up about her battle with multiple sclerosis, which is often abbreviated as MS, and revealed why she has been so open about her health following her diagnosis in 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cSo many people come up to me on the street. I\u2019ve never had that,\u201d she said. \u201cBeing honest about the diagnosis and putting myself out there has been a real enrichment in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Selma added that being hopeful about her diagnosis<\/a> is the \u201cmost important thing\u201d she can do as a public figure. \u201cI could be sitting crying at a table and someone leaves me a note that says, \u2018You changed my daughter\u2019s life\u2019 or \u2018My daughter dances again because she didn\u2019t mind looking strange anymore when she can\u2019t do it,\u2019\u201d she shared. \u201cAnd I feel like the luckiest person in the world. It makes me so emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n
