Judy Greer<\/strong><\/a> appreciates that she and her Jawbreaker<\/em>\u00a0costars could tease each other on set without hurting anyone\u2019s feelings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a lot of fun together. We respected each other, we made fun of each other,\u201d Greer, 48, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the Jawbreaker<\/em>\u2019s 25th anniversary celebration event in Los Angeles on Friday, July 12. \u201cWe got to a point, I think, where we were able to, like, mess with each other a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jawbreaker<\/em> was one of Greer\u2019s earliest roles as she portrayed Fern \u201cVylette\u201d Mayo in the 1999 horror-comedy, which followed a clique of popular girls, dubbed the Flawless Four, which consisted of Queen Bee Courtney Shayne (Rose McGowan<\/strong>), Marcie Fox (Julie Benz<\/strong>), Julie Freeman (Rebecca Gayheart<\/strong>) and Liz Purr (Charlotte Ayanna<\/strong>). Things for the teen queens go awry when they attempt to prank Liz \u2014 and accidentally kill her by choking her with a jawbreaker. The film has since become a cult classic, making a permanent mark in the pop culture zeitgeist.<\/p>\n

While a majority of Greer\u2019s costars portrayed mean girls, their attitude on set was nothing like their characters. Even after more than two decades, Greer only had sweet things to say about her on screen counterparts.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlotte was probably the nicest person in the world,\u201d she gushed. \u201cCharlotte and Rebecca Gayheart were probably the two nicest people on set.\u201d (As for McGowan, Greer previously told Vulture<\/em><\/a> in 2022 that she is \u201cprobably still a little afraid\u201d of the Charmed<\/em> star.)<\/p>\n

Greer confessed that she wasn\u2019t sure how the experience on set was initially going to be since she was \u201cnew\u201d to Hollywood at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really was, like, my third movie. It was the first thing I ever did in Los Angeles. I didn\u2019t even live here,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt was all really fresh and exciting to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greer joked that she was \u201csuch a baby\u201d at the time and would get excited about small Hollywood-esque things, like when people on set would go bring back beverages from the local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.<\/p>\n
