Former Bachelor Nation couple Rachel Lindsay<\/strong><\/a> and Bryan Abasolo<\/strong><\/a> were initially keeping quiet about their decision to divorce but more messy details have since emerged.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in January 2024 that Abasolo filed for divorce<\/a> from Lindsay. Court documents obtained by Us<\/em> at time revealed he listed their date of separation as December 31, 2023, and was seeking spousal support. (Abasolo proposed to Lindsay during The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> season 13 finale in 2017. They married in August 2019<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Lindsay and Abasolo met when she was the Bachelorette in 2017. At the end of her season, Abasolo got down on one knee and proposed. The former couple tied the knot in August 2019, and news broke of their split less than five years later.<\/p>\n

Are Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo Still Living Together?<\/h3>\n

Court documents obtained by Us<\/em> in May 2024 revealed that the estranged pair were still living together<\/a> despite their split. Abasolo claimed in the docs that it was \u201cawkward and strained\u201d to be living with Lindsay since they \u201cavoid\u201d each other. He is seeking to move but \u201cmaintaining our standard of living is not financially feasible at this time,\u201d Abasolo stated in the same documents.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFormer Bachelorette couple Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo may have shocked Bachelor Nation with their divorce, but the former couple have been candid about their struggles for years. Us Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, January 2, that Abasolo, 43, filed to end his marriage to Lindsay, 38, after four years. In court docs obtained by Us, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Abasolo further alleged that Lindsay refused to \u201cgive [him] access to any of [their] community property funds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is Bryan Abasolo Requesting Spousal Support?<\/h3>\n

After requesting support in his initial filing, Abasolo asked in May 2024 docs for Lindsay to pay $75,000 in legal fees<\/a>, claiming that he only makes $1,300 per month.<\/p>\n

Lindsay responded in a filing of her own that revealed she hoped to \u201cquietly\u201d resolve the financial matters of their split.<\/p>\n

\u201cBryan continues to reside in Rachel\u2019s home, for which Rachel pays 90 percent of all expenses<\/a>,\u201d the docs obtained by Us<\/em> read, noting that the \u201cpublic is not aware of the private financial information\u201d regarding their split.<\/p>\n

In July 2024, Us<\/em> confirmed that Lindsay was ordered to pay<\/a> Abasolo $13,257 a month in temporary spousal support. Court documents also revealed that Lindsay must pay $15,000 in attorney\u2019s fees and $5,000 for forensic expert expenses.<\/p>\n

As their legal battle continues, Lindsay revealed why she and Abasolo did not have a prenup<\/a> during a June 2024 podcast appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe place I\u2019m in now financially \u2026 is totally different than when I got married. We were more level, and I wasn\u2019t living in California,\u201d she admitted on the \u201cHidden Gems With Natasha Parker\u201d podcast. \u201cWe weren\u2019t on the same page with prenups, and I didn\u2019t want it to be a bigger issue.
