Tyler Hynes<\/strong> <\/a>and Hunter King<\/strong><\/a> know all too well that many eyes will be on their Hallmark rom-com made alongside the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just so excited,\u201d King, 30, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>on the red carpet at the 2024 ESPY Awards<\/a> at Los Angeles\u2019 Dolby Theatre on Thursday, July 11. \u201cWatching this collaboration unfold and seeing everyone else\u2019s excitement made my excitement even more heightened than it already was.\u201d<\/p>\n

King and Hynes, 38, will costar in the network\u2019s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story<\/i><\/a>, which will premiere during the network\u2019s \u201cCountdown to Christmas\u201d later this year. King plays Alana Higman, whose Chiefs-obsessed family hopes to win a \u201cFan of the Year\u201d contest. Hynes portrays Derrick, the team\u2019s director of fan engagement. Per a logline, he starts spending time with Alana as he is \u201ctasked with evaluating how Alana\u00a0 and her family stack up against the other two finalists.\u201d<\/p>\n

The synopsis adds, \u201cAs the pair spends time together, it\u2019s clear there\u2019s a spark between them, but when her grandfather\u2019s (Ed Begley Jr.<\/strong>) vintage Chiefs good luck winter hat goes missing, Alana begins to doubt everything she believed about fate, destiny and even questions her future with Derrick \u2014 unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holiday Touchdown, <\/i>which <\/i>is currently filming<\/a> around Kansas City and inside the Chiefs\u2019 Arrowhead Stadium, will be Hallmark\u2019s first partnership with an NFL team. It\u2019s a fitting collaboration as the squad has seen a flurry of new fans since tight end Travis Kelce<\/strong> started dating pop star<\/a> Taylor Swift<\/strong> in summer 2023. They publicly confirmed their relationship in September 2023 when Swift, 34, went to her first Chiefs game and excitedly cheered on Kelce<\/a>, also 34 from a private suite with his family and friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really felt like it was a no-brainer,\u201d Hynes told Us <\/i>on Thursday of signing up for the project<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s something about the two brands. The two fandoms are so paralleled and similar in their passion and their purity for what they love. Coming together seemed perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holiday Touchdown <\/i>will satisfy romance and sports fans alike just as Swift and Kelce\u2019s relationship has. Hynes and King have also been invested in all things Tayvis Nation, the unofficial ship name for the couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not gonna lie, I was pretty excited. I\u2019m a Swiftie,\u201d Hunter, whose sister Joey King<\/strong> appeared in Swift\u2019s \u201cMean\u201d and \u201cI Can See You\u201d<\/a> music videos, gushed on Thursday. \u201cTo see her happy with someone who makes her happy and shows her off makes me so happy for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hynes also watched the couple\u2019s love story unfold from afar.<\/p>\n
