The three-time winner of the tournament, 56, was imprisoned in the UK in 2022 and deported to his native Germany under early release terms after hiding \u00a32.5 million in assets following his bankruptcy ruling.<\/p>\n
He could be kept away from the UK \u2013 where he spent years as one of the BBC\u2019s regular Wimbledon commentating team \u2013 for up to a decade, but it\u2019s now been reported he hopes to return far sooner.<\/p>\n
The Times revealed he has been offering his opinion on this year\u2019s Wimbledon for Sky Italia.<\/p>\n
It quoted him saying about how he misses Wimbledon and his work as a BBC pundit: \u201cI\u2019m working hard with the authorities to have all the applications ready to be back (in Britain) for next year.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNext year marks the 40th anniversary of his first Wimbledon win, which amazingly came when he was 17.<\/p>\n
\nBoris kicked off his BBC career in 2002 three years after he retired from professional tennis. <\/p>\n
\nThe fallen tennis ace tearfully told in his recent Apple+ documentary, \u2018Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker\u2019 how there is going to be \u201canother chapter\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n
\nBoris \u2013 nicknamed \u2018Boom Boom\u2019 in tribute to his staggering serve \u2013 said: \u201cThat\u2019s not the end yet \u2013 there\u2019s going to be another chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe has been reportedly lining up book deals and TV deals as he works on his comeback and reforming his brand.<\/p>\n
\nBoris, famed for his past womanising, is now dating risk analyst Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, 33, and said in an interview after he was released from jail with German broadcaster Sat.1 he faced death threats while behind bars and feared showering with other prisoners.<\/p>\n
\nBoris added in the chat an inmate called John in HMP Wandsworth told him before he was moved to the lower security HMP Huntercombe that \u201cif I didn\u2019t do this or that he would kill me\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe also said he was sent \u201ccrazy\u201d by his time in prison.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
