The Michigan-born \u2018One Tree Hill\u2019 actress and singer, 40, and Scottish former football coach, 43, tied the knot on Saturday (13.07.24) at the Carnell Estate in his homeland, they revealed in a series of updates on Instagram over the weekend.<\/p>\n
They were joined by 35 of their closest family and friends, including Jana\u2019s two children \u2013 daughter Jolie, eight, and son Jace, five \u2013 as well as Allan\u2019s son Troy, 16, and their eight-month-old son Roman, 8 months.<\/p>\n
Along with posting videos and shots of them preparing to get hitched on social media, Jana told People about their decision to marry: \u201cI just knew that I wanted to marry him. We had talked about just going away and doing it ourselves, but it was important for me to have the wedding for Jolie and Jace, so they can see that we\u2019re married now.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added in a chat ahead of the nuptials: \u201cI\u2019ve also never been so excited to walk down the aisle to someone, and it didn\u2019t need to be this big thing. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s going to be very small and intimate and everything that we wanted.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019re getting married in Scotland, so the background is already stunning as it is. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI just want to marry him, and I want my closest friends there. That\u2019s all that truly matters to us and our family.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAllan added Jana was \u201creally respectful\u201d towards his \u201cheritage in Scotland\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe also said he believed Jana \u201cthoroughly\u201d deserved a big day.<\/p>\n
\nThe couple got together after Allan messaged Jana on Instagram from England, where he was living at the time.<\/p>\n
\nJana said: \u201cHe was very sweet and very kind in his message, and we started to talk on WhatsApp. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd then when I Googled him, I was like, \u2018Oh, he\u2019s really cute. I was like, \u2018Maybe if he happens to ever be in the States, I\u2019ll go out on a date with him\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey had their first date in Nashville around Christmas, 2022, and Allan said as soon as he met the actress he knew it was \u201cgame over\u201d and they got engaged six months later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
