In light of his marital issues with <\/span>Jennifer Lopez<\/b><\/a>, an insider exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> that Garner\u2019s helping Affleck, 51, map out life after his divorce and she\u2019s breathing a major sigh of relief that she\u2019ll no longer need to deal with the annoying presence of the \u201cOn the Floor\u201d singer.<\/p>\n \u201cJen was extremely tolerant and always found a way to bite her tongue and be cordial to J. Lo whenever they were in the same room,\u201d the source shares. \u201cBut truth be told they\u2019re like oil and water<\/a>, you couldn\u2019t find two people more different.\u201d<\/p>\n Garner, 52, has been \u201csupportive\u201d of the relationship for \u201cBen\u2019s sake,\u201d though \u201cit was no secret she didn\u2019t think he and J. Lo were a good match<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLike most people, she knew it was only going to end in tears, it was just a matter of when and how,\u201d the insider continues about Garner. \u201cShe\u2019s trying to be diplomatic about it, she doesn\u2019t want anyone, least of all the kids, to be aware that there\u2019s any lingering bad blood between her and J. Lo.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite wanting to remain cordial, the source says that Garner is \u201csecretly relieved that this is coming to an end as she won\u2019t have to keep up the ridiculous fa\u00e7ade and make excuses to tell Ben about why she doesn\u2019t want to<\/a> go on holiday with them.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe one sticking point is that her kids bonded with J. They\u2019ll never stop loving each other, but she can\u2019t control him, and he can\u2019t change her.
