Southern Charm<\/em><\/a> season 10 will return with one less familiar face. Olivia Flowers<\/strong><\/a> revealed that she was fired from the cast.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not on this new season,\u201d Olivia, 32, told Scheana Shay<\/strong> during her \u201cScheananigans With Scheana Shay<\/a>\u201d podcast on Friday, July 12. \u201cI was super bummed. I think a lot of people think, like, I made the choice, like I have this new relationship, and I\u2019m choosing another path.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the Texas native said that it wasn\u2019t her decision to leave Southern Charm<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI got the call a few weeks before filming from the production company,\u201d Olivia continued. \u201c[They] were just kind of asking the questions like, \u2018You don\u2019t really seem to be in Charleston that much. We\u2019re noticing on your Instagram that you\u2019re traveling, you\u2019re in Texas, you\u2019ve got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you\u2019ve chosen a different path.\u2019 I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t think it\u2019s choosing a different path. I\u2019m just kind of living my life.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravolebrity went on to explain that her parents had recently moved to Texas and she wanted to be closer with them. Olivia also said that the \u201cboyfriend thing just happened,\u201d and that she was glad she spent time traveling with him because he was \u201cthe best part to come out of that year.\u201d<\/p>\n Olivia added, \u201cHad I known it was working against me or making people think I wasn\u2019t there or choosing a different path \u2026 I wish there had been a little bit more communication there with it, because I was really bummed. I think that\u2019s the part I was most bummed about was that I wanted another season to get to be more me.\u201d<\/p>\n During Southern Charm<\/em> season 9, fans watched Olivia get the news that her brother Connor Flowers had died<\/a> of a fentanyl overdose while she was filming in February 2023. Despite his death, Olivia finished out the season with the help of her castmates. While she said that her brother\u2019s death made it \u201cmuch more challenging,\u201d she said her fellow costars\u2019 support was \u201cincredibly appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n Olivia also dealt with learning that her best friend Taylor Ann Green<\/strong> had hooked up with her ex-boyfriend Austen Kroll<\/strong><\/a>, something that she said \u201cshifted the dynamics\u201d of their friend group. Ultimately, Olivia\u2019s relationships with both Taylor, 29, and Austen, 37, were damaged and had not been repaired by the time the Southern Charm<\/em> season 9 reunion<\/a> filmed in December 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cLast season was very heavy, and I was honestly just trying to keep my head above water,\u201d Olivia said. \u201cI was looking forward to having another [season] and getting to be a little bit more myself, show my personality and exploring the new friendships and all that. I feel like I really gave everything I could given the circumstance, you know? Charleston wasn\u2019t the happiest place for me at that time. My friend group had completely changed after filming. My house brought back some difficult memories. I wanted to take that beat for filming. Had I known it was working against me or coming across a certain way? \u2026 I was just like, \u2018What?\u2019 I went from feeling pretty confident and excited for the next [season] to then being \u2026 blindsided\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
