Rebel Wilson<\/strong><\/a> is being sued for defamation ahead of her directorial debut with The Deb<\/i>.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/i> on Friday, July 12, producers Amanda Ghost<\/strong>, Gregor Cameron<\/strong> and Vince Holden<\/strong> chose to file a lawsuit in hopes of \u201cholding Rebel accountable for her attempts to bully plaintiffs into conceding to her unreasonable demands by spreading vicious lies without regard for the irreparable damage her reckless words would cause\u201d on them.<\/p>\n

While Wilson, 44, has played the funny girl in a variety of movies like Pitch Perfect<\/i> and Bridesmaids<\/i>, The Deb<\/i> producers involved in the suit alleged that the actress is a \u201cbully who will disregard the interests of others to promote her own.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghost, Cameron and Holden allege in court documents that Wilson \u201cbehaved unprofessionally with employees\u201d and \u201crepeatedly made unauthorized and improper disclosures\u201d about the film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPitch Perfect\u00a0hit theaters in 2012 and became an instant classic \u2014 and the cast has since turned out two aca-awesome sequels. The original Bellas \u2014 made up of Beca (Anna Kendrick), Aubrey (Anna Camp), Chloe (Brittany Snow), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) and more \u2014 cemented their place in viewers\u2019 hearts early on before adding new [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another point of contention is a dispute over credits. Wilson sought co-authorship of the screenplay as well as rights to the film\u2019s original music. According to the suit, Hannah Riley<\/strong>, the original screenwriter who producers called Wilson\u2019s \u201cprot\u00e9g\u00e9,\u201d was awarded full credit by the Australian Writers Guild. Wilson was granted an \u201cadditional writing by\u201d credit on the script, which the producers alleged she was not satisfied with.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit comes after Wilson posted a video via Instagram<\/a> where she expressed her disappointment that The Deb<\/i> couldn\u2019t premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. She then questioned why her business partners would not want the movie to premiere there.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis dates back to October of last year, where I discovered bad behavior by these business partners,\u201d she said on Wednesday, July 10. \u201cAnd let me just, you know, I just tell it how it is, so I\u2019m just going to tell you who they are. They are so called producers of the film \u2014 I use that phrase very lightly. Their names are Amanda Ghost and Gregory Cameron and an executive producer who works with them called Vince Holden.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson said she reported their \u201cbad behavior,\u201d which allegedly included \u201cinappropriate behavior towards the lead actress of the film\u201d and \u201cembezzling funds from the film\u2019s budget.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson added, \u201cSince I reported that behavior, I have been met with absolute viciousness and retaliatory behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n
