\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong><\/a> has announced that his mom has sadly passed away.<\/p>\n Carol Bongiovi<\/strong> died on Tuesday (July 9) at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey, just three days before her 84th birthday.<\/p>\n Following Carol<\/strong>\u2018s death, Jon<\/strong>, 62, released a statement mourning his mother on behalf of their family.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cOur mother was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed,\u201d the family shared in a statement with People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Along with being the founder of the official fan club for Jon<\/strong>\u2018s rock band, Bon Jovi<\/strong>, Carol<\/strong> was also an entrepreneur and U.S. Marine veteran.<\/p>\n Carol <\/strong>is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jon Sr.<\/strong>, as well as three sons and daughters-in-law: Jon<\/strong> and wife Dorothea<\/strong><\/a>, Anthony<\/strong> and Nina Yang Bongiovi<\/strong>, and Matthew<\/strong> and Desiree Bongiovi<\/strong>, as well as eight grandchildren.<\/p>\n Our thoughts are with the Bongiovi<\/strong> family during this difficult time.
