Chace Crawford<\/strong> <\/a>admitted he had some reservations about starring in the superhero dark comedy The Boys<\/em> as the character The Deep.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Gossip Girl<\/em> alum, 38, confessed in an interview with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> published on Sunday, July 7, that he panicked about doing a sex scene with octopus Ambrosius (voiced by Tilda Swinton<\/strong>) on the Prime Video series during a season 3 episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so funny and brilliant now, but when that came up, I was like, \u2018Oh God, how\u2019s this going to work?\u2019\u201d Crawford told the outlet about the relationship between the two aquatic characters.<\/p>\n

The actor noted that he was \u201cin total denial about\u201d the intimate scene that was shown in the episode \u201cHerogasm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then it got 24 hours out from the first day I had to shoot it and I almost had a panic attack,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cI called [showrunner Eric<\/strong>] Kripke<\/strong> \u2014 he\u2019s so great. He\u2019s got a million things going on, but his door\u2019s always open. So I was worried about the scene. I\u2019m like, \u2018How are we gonna do this? What are the angles gonna be? How naked do I have to be?\u2019 He changed one shot for me. And it was great,\u201d Crawford added.<\/p>\n

While the show does have an intimacy coordinator on set when shooting sexy scenes, Crawford\u2019s time with the eight-legged creature was not choreographed.<\/p>\n

When filming with the octopus, Crawford remembered that the crew \u201ctreated it like, \u2018quiet everyone, clear out\u2019 \u2014 a closed set.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut yeah, just the act of picking up the octopus and getting a wet octopus in the bed was so funny and weird. And then it doesn\u2019t come out for a year almost, and you\u2019re like, \u2018How is this going to be received?\u2019\u201d the Blood & Oil<\/em> actor said.<\/p>\n

The scene was ultimately praised, meaning Crawford\u2019s nervousness was put to bed. \u201cEveryone loved it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Apart from strange encounters on the set itself, Crawford also looked back on a moment when a fan came up to him at the gym.<\/p>\n
