After working to rebuild their friendship, <\/span>Jennie Garth<\/a> and ex-husband <\/span>Peter Facinelli<\/a> enjoyed a blended family day together on the ocean.<\/span><\/p>\n Garth, 52, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a slew of snapshots from her fun family outing with her ex-husband and <\/span>their daughters<\/a>,\u00a0Luca, 27, Lola, 21, and Fiona, 17.<\/span><\/p>\n “So, if you’ve heard this weeks ‘I Choose Me Podcast’ update you’ll know that there have been some BIG changes since my ex, Peter Facinelli, & I sat down to chat about all things co-parenting, divorce & bringing significant others into our children’s lives on the podcast,” Garth wrote in the caption to the post. “When deciding to chose to have this conversation, I had hoped that it would bring some positive changes into both our families lives, but I truly didn’t think we would get to the point we’re at now!”<\/span><\/p>\n “We had a family day out,” she added. “It was a beautiful day & seeing the girls happy made my heart feel so full!…\u00a0I’m still in shock that nobody was pushed overboard!”<\/span><\/p>\n The actors first met while shooting the 1996 TV movie\u00a0<\/span>An Unfinished Affair,<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and wound up tying the knot in 2001. However,\u00a0Facinelli, 50, filed for divorce in March 2012, three months after the pair first separated.<\/span><\/p>\n After her divorce from Facinelli, Garth met actor Dave Abrams on a blind date and the pair subsequently tied the knot in July 2015. Abrams was not in attendance at the outing over the weekend, though Garth gave him a special shout-out in her caption, writing, “We missed you hubs!”<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile,\u00a0Facinelli is engaged to longtime girlfriend\u00a0<\/span>Lily Anne Harrison<\/a>, and the pair share a 1-year-old son, Jack. Harrison and Jack were also part of the family outing.<\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>Beverly Hills, 90210<\/span><\/em>\u00a0alum <\/span>recently opened up about the status of her relationship<\/a> with the\u00a0<\/span>Nurse Jackie<\/span><\/em>\u00a0actor during an episode of her\u00a0<\/span>I Choose Me<\/em><\/a>\u00a0podcast, released on July 1.<\/span><\/p>\n “Guys, we are officially friends now,” Garth said, explaining how far they’ve come since\u00a0<\/span>the pair spoke about their divorce on a previous episode<\/a>\u00a0of her podcast earlier in June.<\/span><\/p>\n In fact, Garth said things have apparently improved between them so much that he “even unblocked me from Instagram!”<\/span><\/p>\n “I’d been blocked on his socials for so long that I [quit]\u00a0caring years ago… but now I’m unblocked, you guys. That’s big news,” Garth explained.<\/span><\/p>\n In early June, Garth and Facinelli sat down for a candid chat about their relationship, and the actor reflected on their whirlwind romance.<\/span><\/p>\n “We came together very fast, very furious, and very quick and I remember thinking, ‘Well, let’s move in together and see how it goes,’ and it just went,” Facinelli recalled of their romance. “Five years went by, and I thought, ‘Well, we should get married.’ Then we got married and had another kid. It was almost like an arranged marriage in a way and things seemed well. We had disagreements here and there, but I think we were really young.”<\/span><\/p>\n “I didn’t have a sense of who I was, and so I was just trying to be all these things for other people,” Facinelli explained. “When that fell apart, it took me time to try to get in touch with me.”<\/span><\/p>\n Repeating the sentiment that it felt like they had “an arranged marriage,” Facinelli added, “I loved you and we had this beautiful family from the outside, but I hadn’t developed who I was. So how you could you love me?
