\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Danny Trejo<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out.<\/p>\n The 80-year-old star addressed the altercation in an interview with TMZ<\/a>, after a fight broke out in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n When someone hit his vintage convertible with a water balloon, he exited his car because someone apparently shouted that the balloon was full of \u201cacid.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I am so sad. I\u2019m so sad that I behaved the way I behaved,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m so sad that grown men gotta throw water balloons to enjoy a day.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think I would have even got out of the car if somebody hadn\u2019t yelled \u2018It\u2019s acid.\u2019 That\u2019s when I panicked,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n He said he was hit by another water balloon and confronted the parade goer who threw it, and that the man grabbed his shirt, leading to the fight.<\/p>\n \u201cI got out of the car and then \u2014 boom \u2014 a balloon hit me and I looked up and I see a guy holding a [water balloon]. I go, \u2018What in the hell is wrong with you?\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He added that he believes the confrontation was racially motivated and that the spectators targeted his car because he\u2019s Mexican-American.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just sad that there\u2019s still people from the \u201850s and \u201860s that still feel the same way. No one else was targeted,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n A witness who spoke to ABC 7 Los Angeles<\/a> seemingly corroborated his story.<\/p>\n \u201cThis parade is like a thing where you throw water balloons back and forth at each other,\u201d Stanley Herrarte<\/strong> told the outlet. \u201cThe reason why Danny<\/strong> was so infuriated was because usually people don\u2019t throw water balloons at fancy cars when they come by.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m alright. They couldn\u2019t hurt me,\u201d Danny<\/strong> said. \u201cI would be embarrassed if I attacked an 80-year-old man and he\u2019s still talking and laughing.\u201d<\/p>\n He also shared an inspirational message while celebrating over 50 years of sobriety. <\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
