It\u2019s been nearly 10 years since Suki Waterhouse<\/strong><\/a> and Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a> called it quits, but the pain of the split is still fresh in the actress\u2019 mind.<\/p>\n Suki, 32, got candid about the aftermath of her 2015 breakup from Bradley, 49, after two years of dating in an interview with British Vogue<\/em><\/a> published on Tuesday, July 2. \u201cI really will say that I\u2019m pretty strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you\u2019re actually not doing well, and you can\u2019t explain yourself to the world, that\u2019s very isolating and disorientating,\u201d she said. \u201cIt probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n The Daisy Jones & the Six<\/em> star was 21 years old when she began dating the Maestro<\/em> actor<\/a>, who was 38 at the time. She explained that she believes heartbreak \u201calways stays in you\u201d and described her 20s as \u201cpretty sadistic.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe love I experienced [then] was only ever a fetishization, and I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished,\u201d Suki told the outlet. \u201cWhen you get into your 30s you\u2019re almost instantly afforded a little bit more respect. It\u2019s kind of delightful and shocking at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n With all that said, the singer-songwriter added that she wouldn\u2019t \u201ctake\u201d any of her experiences \u201cback.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAll these chaotic ways that my life went, it was always material,\u201d she continued. \u201c[It all] led me to a love that is really pure and a life now \u2026 I wake up in the morning feeling really great. I\u2019ll probably go down again at some point, that\u2019s just how it works. But you wear your scars and if you can take them and build them into something and share them, then that\u2019s the ultimate.\u201d<\/p>\n Three years after ending things with Bradley, Suki moved on with now-fianc\u00e9 Robert Pattinson<\/strong><\/a>, whom she met at a Hollywood game night in 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cI was sure that I\u2019d met him a long time ago, but he didn\u2019t think that we had,\u201d she explained to British Vogue<\/em> before revealing that they played a \u201cvery, very intense\u201d game of Werewolf. \u201cThere were lots of \u2018big\u2019 characters [there], real heavy-hitters. \u2026 Al Pacino<\/strong> was there. Javier [Bardem]<\/strong> and Pen\u00e9lope [Cruz]<\/strong> were there \u2026 and, you know, everyone was really acting.\u201d<\/p>\n Suki revealed that she and Robert, 38, were drawn to each other instantly because they \u201cboth sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness.\u201d They \u201cstarted giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing\u201d and \u201cgot told off\u201d by the other attendees before getting separated because they were being too disruptive.<\/p>\n The Love, Rosie<\/em> actress and Twilight<\/em> star reconnected \u201csix or seven months\u201d later, and the rest is history. They became engaged in December 2023, one month after Suki announced that she was pregnant with their first child<\/a>. Their daughter was born in March.<\/p>\n \u201cI think Rob\u2019s quite funny, I light up when I\u2019m around him,\u201d she told the publication. As for whether her pregnancy was planned, Suki said, \u201cWe really planned it. One day we looked at each other and said, \u2018Well, this is as ready as we\u2019re going to be.\u2019 I was like, \u2018What can make more chaos?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
