Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> and Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s friendship has come a long way over the years.<\/p>\n

Before the pair became the besties they are today, Carpenter was a longtime fan of Swift. Before dropping tracks like \u201cNonsense\u201d and \u201cEspresso,\u201d Carpenter posted covers of Swift\u2019s songs on her YouTube page, including \u201cPicture to Burn\u201d and \u201cWhite Horse.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to covering Swift\u2019s music, Carpenter also attended several of Swift\u2019s concerts. The former Disney star finally got the chance to connect with the Grammy winner backstage at one of her Reputation shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had her cats with her,\u201d Carpenter recalled of meeting Swift for the first time in a January 2024 interview with Who What Wear<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI have older sisters, so if anything, it felt like that type of a relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

After that initial meeting, the duo grew close as Carpenter began to make a name for herself in the music industry. After attending the Eras Tour<\/em><\/a> herself in 2023, Carpenter was announced as one of Swift\u2019s openers for her international leg.<\/p>\n

After attending several of Swift\u2019s shows over the years, Carpenter finally got to meet Swift.<\/p>\n

November 2021<\/h3>\n

Four years later, Swift sent Carpenter a Red (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em> package ahead of the album\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

Three months later, Swift and Carpenter both attended the American Music Awards.<\/p>\n

June 2023<\/h3>\n

Swift announced that Carpenter would be joining her for the South American leg of the Eras Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally thrilled to tell you this!! Mexico, Argentina and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year!\u201d Swift wrote via X<\/a> at the time. Sweet angel princess @SabrinaAnnLynn will be joining us on all of the shows!\u201d<\/p>\n

After the news broke, Carpenter opened up about how meaningful the opportunity was given that she was a lifelong fan of Swift.<\/p>\n

After the Latin America shows, Carpenter also joined Swift on the Australian leg of the Eras Tour<\/em>. While in town, Swift and Carpenter hung out at the Australia Zoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the first show in Sydney, Swift brought Carpenter, who had to cancel her set due to weather, out to perform a duet during the acoustic set. They sang a mashup<\/a> of \u201cWhite Horse\u201d and \u201cConey Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

March 2024<\/h3>\n

After Carpenter wrapped up her leg of the Eras Tour,<\/em> she penned a thoughtful message for Swift to express her gratitude for the opportunity.<\/p>\n

After Carpenter raised eyebrows with her SKIMS \u2014 which is owned by Kim Kardashian<\/strong> \u2014 campaign, the \u201cFeather\u201d singer shared that she talked to Swift about it<\/a> given her tumultuous history with the Kardashians<\/em> star.<\/p>\n
