Robbie Williams turned down Beyonce?<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old singer’s longtime collaborator Guy Chambers claims that in 1998 the pair met at ‘Top Of The Pops’ and Beyonce<\/a> flirted with Robbie, who is eight years her senior, but he thought she was too young.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Squeeze’s Chris Difford on his ‘I Never Thought It Would Happen’ podcast, Guy said: “When I finally got on Top Of The Pops with Robbie, that was a really big moment. It was in 1998.<\/p>\n

“I can remember Destiny’s Child. And I remember Beyonce<\/a>. She was incredibly young then.<\/p>\n

“I remember her looking out of the dressing room door, with the other two, flirting with Rob trying to get his attention.<\/p>\n

\n“He was like, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s too young. I\u2019m not going there.\u2019\u200a”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Robbie previously revealed Cameron Diaz encouraged him to rekindle his romance with his now-wife Ayda Field after a brief split back when they were dating.<\/p>\n

\nSpeaking on podcast ‘(Staying) At Home With The Williamses’, he said: “We were at the Chateau Marmont and we’d split up and I was chatting away with people, and I started to chat with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz and I started to espouse about this brilliant person I’d just ended a relationship with. <\/p>\n

\n“And Cameron Diaz said, ‘It doesn’t sound like that one’s over’. And in that moment – I don’t know why it was – the universe went, ‘Go to Ayda. Be with her. Marry her’.”<\/p>\n

\nAyda – who has four children, Teddy, Charlton, Colette, and Beau, with Robbie – vowed to “make out” with Cameron the next time she sees the star. <\/p>\n

\nShe said: “Thank god for Cameron Diaz by the way. Next time I see Cameron Diaz I’m going to make out with her!<\/p>\n

\n“Can you imagine if Cameron had never done that? Imagine if you had never had that conversation?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
