Marvin and Rochelle Humes are designing their forever home<\/p>\n
The couple – who are parents to Alaia-Mai, 11, Valentina, seven, and three-year-old Blake – have moved six times during their relationship but they are now building what they hope will be their “forever home” and all the members of the household will have a say in the layout of the property.<\/p>\n
Speaking to HELLO! Online, Marvin said: \u201cWe\u2019re doing a whole house! We\u2019re building a house! It\u2019s the first time we\u2019ve done it. In the 12 years we\u2019ve been together we\u2019ve moved home six times! This is our first big, big project. We\u2019ve renovated a house before but this is the first time doing it from scratch, but this is the last one I promise you….<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s exciting, something we\u2019ve never done before. Great for the kids to get involved in helping us design stuff, so it\u2019s all good!\u201d<\/p>\n
Although they are excited about their plans, the couple have no idea how long it will take to finish the house but they plan to just go with the flow.<\/p>\n
\nRochelle said: \u201cWe just need to gain a lot of patience because there are so many moving parts. People keep asking me, \u2018How long is it going to be?\u2019 We don\u2019t have an idea.<\/p>\n
\n” It bothers everyone else, we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re just going with it!\u2019 We\u2019ll have a better update [next year]. Hopefully we\u2019ll have a roof by then!\u201d <\/p>\n
\nIn the coming months, Marvin and Rochelle hope to travel around the UK with their brood to enjoys some “staycays” in the sunshine.<\/p>\n
\nThe former Saturdays singer said: \u201cI\u2019m planning to wing it through until September and we can open the school gates again. Our kids seem to have longer than they\u2019ve ever had before!<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe might do a couple of weeks somewhere. We have a couple of staycays planned. We have a couple\u2019s trip planned but we have staycays and everyone escapes the UK when it\u2019s the best it\u2019s going to be! They have such a long break that I want to get around the UK a bit. We have an appreciation since COVID. We\u2019re going to do a bit of camping, not quite like the jungle but similar sort of vibes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
