Gwen Stefani<\/b><\/a> is back for season 26 of <\/span>The Voice<\/span><\/i><\/a>,<\/span><\/i> but <\/span>Reba McEntire<\/b><\/a>\u2019s become the queen bee now and everyone on the show is bracing for a catfight because Gwen\u2019s a bit of a diva herself!<\/p>\n \u201cDuring the last season Reba really found her groove and an in with the bosses, her fellow coaches and the audience and became a behind-the-scenes mentor herself, but don\u2019t let that maternal side fool you,\u201d an insider exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s extremely competitive and bossy and tends to dominate over her peers and associates<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n The source adds that Reba, 69, \u201cmay be welcoming Gwen back on the show with that Cheshire cat grin of hers,\u201d though notes \u201cshe\u2019s also letting Gwen know that she\u2019s in charge<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGwen doesn\u2019t have Blake [Shelton]<\/strong> to protect her anymore<\/a>, and people around them predict it\u2019s going to get nasty because Gwen always liked to be the center of attention before and expects it to be the same going into this season,\u201d the insider reveals.<\/p>\n Gwen, 54, previously served as a coach on The Voice<\/em> from seasons 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22 and 24. Following season 24, the \u201cSweet Escape\u201d singer announced she was taking a break from the show to focus on her music career.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel sad and excited at the same time,\u201d she told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> during the season 24 finale in December 2023. \u201cThis season has so many incredible singers and I had such an amazing team of amazing people \u2026 Everybody was just so inspiring and sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n After explaining she was taking a break to put out new music, Gwen said she was \u201cexcited\u201d for the new chapter in her career. \u201cI\u2019ve been working on this for a long time. I\u2019ve finally landed in that place where I\u2019m obsessed, where I can\u2019t stop listening, so I feel like I\u2019m somewhere,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n Reba started serving as a coach during season 24, while the upcoming season 26 will mark the second time she and Gwen will be coaching alongside each other. In addition to Reba and Gwen, Snoop Dogg<\/strong> and Michael Buble\u0301<\/strong> will also star on the competition series as coaches.<\/p>\n The \u201cI\u2019m a Survivor\u201d singer joined the show after Gwen\u2019s husband Blake, 48,<\/span> exited<\/span><\/a> after season 23. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of pressure, because nobody can replace Blake Shelton. He\u2019s a huge personality and a wonderful person,\u201d she told <\/span>Newsweek<\/span><\/i><\/a> in September 2023. \u201cSo I\u2019m just getting in there trying to have fun and represent country music as best I can.\u201d<\/p>\n Reba added that the show was already a \u201cwell-oiled machine\u201d when she joined the coaching panel, so starting the series later was a \u201cmarvelous\u201d experience. \u201cEverybody knows the game plan, from the crew, the producers. Everybody on the show is so nice, so sweet and have been so helpful. I\u2019m loving it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
