Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> pulled back the curtain on her unexpected bond with Gypsy Rose Blanchard<\/strong>, who was recently released from prison.<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, July 4, episode of The Kardashians<\/em><\/a>, Kim, 43, revealed she is in contact with Gypsy, 32, saying, \u201cI\u2019m so excited to get into my bed and watch Gypsy Rose. I\u2019m meeting her on Wednesday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim tried to explain how their connection initially formed<\/a>. \u201cA couple of years ago I did a rating of things I was really into,\u201d she said before Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian interrupted. \u201cShe has to get her parole officer [to sign off on this] and it\u2019s a whole thing. So hopefully her parole officer approves.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a confessional, Kim elaborated on the conversations she had with Gypsy<\/a>, adding, \u201cGypsy Rose Blanchard was just released from prison for being involved in the murder of her mother. She reached out to me on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim continued: \u201cShe\u2019s expressed wanting to get into prison reform and with what she\u2019s learned being in prison herself, I think there\u2019s such an opportunity for her to use her platform in a real important way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gypsy was released from prison in December 2023<\/a> after serving seven years for the murder of her mother, Clauddine \u201cDee Dee\u201d Blanchard, who was found dead at age 48 in her Missouri home with multiple stab wounds in June 2015.<\/p>\n

After being arrested alongside ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn<\/strong>, Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years behind bars. She was granted parole in September 2023 before being released.<\/p>\n

Gypsy has previously alleged that her mother abused her<\/a>. Dee Dee, who seemingly suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, told Gypsy and the public that her daughter was diagnosed with various medical issues including leukemia, muscular dystrophy, brain damage and seizures, which didn\u2019t appear to be the case.<\/p>\n

While recently promoting her upcoming memoir, My Time to Stand<\/em>, Gypsy reflected on her decision to use her platform to help others.<\/a><\/p>\n
