While fans have argued over Rory\u2019s romances \u2014 you\u2019re either Team Dean, Jess or Logan \u2014 for years, Gilmore Girls<\/a><\/em>\u2019 most heart-wrenching love story belonged to two other characters: Lane Kim and Dave Rygalski.<\/p>\n

While the fan favorite duo dated in season 3 of the beloved WB series, they were forced to part ways when Adam Brody<\/strong><\/a>, who portrayed Dave, left the show to star on Fox\u2019s The O.C.<\/em> Lane, played by Keiko Agena<\/strong>, went on to fall in love with and marry another bandmate Zack (Todd Lowe<\/strong>), and the couple eventually welcomed twins, Kwan and Steve, in season 7.<\/p>\n

However, according to Agena, Lane and Dave\u2019s ending might have played out differently if the show were still airing today.<\/p>\n

In an interview with E! News<\/em><\/a> published on Saturday, June 29, Agena, 50, revealed she believes that Lane and Dave would have eventually reconnected.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMore than 20 years after Gilmore\u00a0Girls first aired in 2000 \u2014 and was rebooted in 2016 for a four-part update \u2014 viewers are still yearning for more from Lorelai and Rory\u00a0Gilmore. For six seasons from 2000 to 2007, fans followed the lives of mother-daughter duo Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) in the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAs rock \u2018n\u2019 roll as she said she was, I think she would be pretty above board. But I think there is some lovelorn, heartsickness over that relationship,\u201d Agena told the outlet. \u201cMaybe some daydreams. I don\u2019t know that she would ever act on anything, but a friendship for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite understanding fans\u2019 yearning for a Dave and Lane reunion, Agena also noted her hopes that Lane is out there \u201ctraveling\u201d while still married to Zack. \u201cBecause she was such a fan of music, in my mind, I always craved more out of Connecticut interaction for her,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Of the potential storyline, Agena added that Lane is probably \u201cwriting really bad fantasy fanfiction\u201d as she explores the globe, which eventually \u201cbecomes a concept album that [musician] Bjork<\/strong> somehow got involved with,\u201d before Lane becomes an international star.<\/p>\n

Agena added that if Gilmore Girls<\/em> were to be rebooted, after attracting a legion of fans when it aired from 2000 to 2007, she would certainly return for more. Agena attributed the show\u2019s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino<\/strong>, with keeping the cast \u2014 which featured Alexis Bledel<\/strong> and Lauren Graham<\/strong> as mother-daughter duo Rory Gilmore and Lorelai Gilmore \u2014 inspired.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmy\u2019s so talented that if she was excited about an idea and if she had a way that she wanted to tell some of these stories, if people were available, I think everyone would be interested in finding where these characters are now,\u201d Agena told the outlet.<\/p>\n
