His Future As Judge, Revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Is Luke Bryan leaving <em>American Idol<\/em> next? <\/p>\n<p>Fans of the reality show are starting to worry that the beginning of the end of <em>Idol<\/em> has begun.<\/p>\n<p>With Katy Perry unexpectedly announcing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/02\/katy-perry-leaving-american-idol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her exit<\/a> earlier in the year, the world is turning it\u2019s eyes to the country king sitting on the panel next to her.<\/p>\n<p>Will Luke Bryan leave the show soon? Brown\/Getty Images))<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"h-luke-bryan-leaving-american-idol-could-he-be-let-go-from-new-season\">Luke Bryan Leaving \u2018American Idol\u2019: Could He Be Let Go From New Season. <\/h2>\n<p>Luke Bryan joined\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2023\/05\/whoopi-goldberg-says-american-idol-sparked-the-downfall-of-society-appears-to-be-serious\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Idol<\/a><\/em>\u00a0as a judge for season 16, at the same time as Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.<\/p>\n<p>The show was revived after its \u201cfarewell\u201d season after fans demanded its return. <\/p>\n<p>The trio have been beloved by fans, with many suggesting they are the perfect balance of judges. <\/p>\n<p>But in February 2024, Katy Perry announced that the upcoming season of the show would be her last. The bombshell announcement was apparently made without any warning given to Luke and Lionel.<\/p>\n<p>A few months later, <em>Entertainment Tonight <\/em>caught up with Luke and he admitted that he didn\u2019t know his fate with the show. In fact, no one knows who will be back next season!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been interesting,\u201d\u00a0the country star said of\u00a0<em>Idol<\/em>\u2018s changes for the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/luke-bryan-says-he-and-lionel-richie-dont-know-if-theyll-return-for-american-idols-new-season\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">season<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been something Disney been really tightlipped about with me and Lionel and [host]\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/02\/ryan-seacrest-leaving-american-idol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ryan [Seacrest]<\/a>. We currently haven\u2019t heard what the story is on who\u2019s coming back, and if Lionel and I are coming back. Referring to his wife, he added, \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Baby, this is a rough year, let\u2019s just get through it and then we\u2019ll find a boat and go to the Caribbean or something.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the rumor behind Katy\u2019s exit suggests that she is hoping to have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/02\/katy-perry-baby-number-2-american-idol-departure-orlando-bloom-family-career\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another baby with Orlando Bloom<\/a>, some are wondering if the same could be said of Luke.<\/p>\n<p>So, maybe he\u2019s ready to leave the show to spend more time with his family? As for Ryan Seacrest, with his new gig hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/06\/ryan-seacrest-wheel-of-fortune-salary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wheel of Fortune<\/a> on the horizon, there\u2019s some noise that he could be leaving <em>American Idol<\/em> by the fall to focus on that.<\/p>\n<p>Then again, the guy juggled two TV shows before, and they were on different coasts!
