The View<\/em> <\/a>is pressing pause on new episodes to give its cohosts a summer break.<\/p>\n

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro<\/strong> and Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/strong> will all be absent from their usual posts during the first week of July. Instead, the morning talk show will repeat its old broadcasts starting on Monday, July 1. The cohosts will return from their vacation<\/a> on July 8.<\/p>\n

When The View<\/em> begins again, the cohosts are set to welcome a number of guests, including The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> season 21 lead Jenn Tran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the break, Brian Teta<\/strong> \u2014 the producer of the ABC talk show \u2014 denied the cohosts\u2019 on-air attempt to receive a cruise vacation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSince The View premiered in August 1997, more than 20 women have had permanent roles as cohosts on the ABC morning talk show. The series, which was created by Barbara Walters, features a multi-generational panel that conducts interviews and discusses the news of the day, ranging from politics to entertainment. The original lineup was comprised [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In January, TikTok\u2019s Marc Sebastian<\/strong> shared a video calling Goldberg, 68, the \u201cgodmother\u201d of the Serenade of the Seas cruise and showing a portrait of her on the ship. Days later, Goldberg confirmed on The View<\/em><\/a> that she had received the title 20 years prior.<\/p>\n

Goldberg went on to explain that Sebastian, among others, had begun documenting his 9-month-long experience on the ship via the social media platform and turning it into a \u201creality show\u201d \u2014 which piqued the interest of Behar, 81.<\/p>\n

When Goldberg asked whether any of her cohosts could \u201cset sail\u201d for that time frame, Behar adamantly replied, \u201cYes, I would do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBrian, can you give me nine months off? Because I would do it. It sounds like such a great trip,\u201d Behar said, before revealing that she had already looked into the cost of the trip and the perks.<\/p>\n

Haines, for her part, added that her body could only take the cruise for seven days. \u201cI\u2019d come back two sizes up and hungover,\u201d Haines, 46, quipped. \u201cLike, I cannot do nine months. I\u2019d be a mess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goldberg, meanwhile, followed up on Behar\u2019s request by telling Serenade of the Sea to have a talk with the cohosts. \u201cYou should have a conversation with us and see if we can get anyone who can handle it to go take as much time as they could on the ship,\u201d Goldberg said. \u201cThe ship is beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
