Ahead of the June 15 Trooping the Colour in London<\/a> \u2014 her first official appearance in six months \u2014 Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong><\/a> shared an update on her cancer treatments, which she said will continue for a few months.<\/p>\n \u201cAs anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,\u201d Kate, 42, wrote on social media. \u201cOn those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n If Kate\u2019s glowing smile at King Charles III<\/strong>\u2018s official birthday celebration is any indication, her public return was definitely a good day! \u201cKate was nervous making her reappearance,\u201d a source exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cShe worried she would look tired or too thin at the parade, but she looked amazing. The supportive response Kate got boosted her confidence, and it was apparent.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate wanted to show the world she hadn\u2019t given up \u2014 and she did so with the style and grace that have made her so beloved. \u201cPrince William<\/strong> was very proud of her,\u201d notes the insider, \u201cand so were the rest of the royal family.\u201d\n<\/p>\n That doesn\u2019t mean the outing wasn\u2019t hard on Kate, who\u2019s been largely taking things easy at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with William, 42, and their kids: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.<\/p>\n \u201cKate was exhausted afterward,\u201d says the insider. \u201cIt was a long day, and it took a lot out of her.\u201d Though Kate has yet to divulge the type of cancer she\u2019s fighting, she is making an effort to be honest about her ordeal. \u201cThat\u2019s why she wrote that June post,\u201d the insider adds. \u201cShe absolutely has bad days, and that\u2019s something she wouldn\u2019t have shared in the past.\u201d<\/p>\n But she\u2019s now attempting to turn her negative into a positive. \u201cKate\u2019s not the only person battling cancer<\/a>, and she realizes that being truthful about her struggle will help others,\u201d explains the insider.
