\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a> is opening about her latest gig \u2013 hosting Love Island USA<\/strong><\/a><\/em> season six!<\/p>\n The 39-year-old Vanderpump Rules<\/strong><\/a> <\/em>star took over hosting duties from actress Sarah Hyland<\/strong><\/a>, who is starring in Little Shop of Horrors<\/em> off-Broadway. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Ariana<\/strong> dished on when she found out she landed the job, what it\u2019s like hosting as a superfan, following in Sarah<\/strong>\u2018s footsteps and how long she hopes to serve as the host.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was amazing! I was actually backstage at Chicago<\/em>, and I had to sneak away into the stage manager\u2019s office to take a call,\u201d she dished to THR<\/a><\/em>. \u201cGetting that news was so exciting. I was backstage, living this lifelong dream of being on Broadway. And then to get that call and go into another total dream was amazing. A pinch-me moment.\u201d<\/p>\n On if she got any advice from Sarah<\/strong> and if she feels pressure, she shared she just wants to be herself.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t get any advice. But what\u2019s really cool and crazy is that because she\u2019s doing [Little Shop of Horrors <\/em>on Broadway], we almost just like did a swapsies. (Laughs<\/em>) And I\u2019m actually kind of bummed, because I would love to see her in Little Shop<\/em>,\u201d Ariana<\/strong> said. \u201cBut you know, as a longtime fan of Love Island<\/em> across the board, watching Sarah<\/strong> kill it as host, along with Arielle Vandenberg<\/strong><\/a>, Sophie Monk<\/strong><\/a>, Caroline Flack<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 the best to ever do it, Maya Jama<\/strong><\/a>, who\u2019s like the hottest person alive \u2014 I know that every host brings their own flavor to the job and to the show. And so I knew going in that I just wanted to be me because that alleviates any sort of pressure to try to do what anyone else is doing, and creates something that can\u2019t be re-created because you\u2019re just being yourself.
