Meghan Markle has endured just about every kind of criticism imaginable during her years in the spotlight, much of it coming from the notoriously hateful British tabloid press.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s been called a liar, a social climber, and an opportunist.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s been accused of abandoning her family and destroying Harry\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Just about every type of vitriol has been hurled at Meghan by people whose stated goal is to tear her down \u2014 but even after all these years, the Duchess\u2019 harshest critics still have the power to shock us with how much they seem to hate her.<\/p>\n<\/noscript>Meghan Markle told her story like never before in her new Netflix docuseries. (Photo viaNetflix)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCase in point, Vanity Fair<\/em> columnist Vanessa Grigoriadis has made a living out of talking trash about Meghan, and her latest comments are some of her most unhinged to date.<\/p>\nGrigoriadis appeared on journalist Andrew Gold\u2019s podcast this week, where she accused Meghan of being so delusional that she doesn\u2019t even know when she\u2019s lying anymore.<\/p>\n

Grigoriadis repeated Samantha Markle\u2019s claim that Meghan lied when she claimed during a speech at a Fiji university that she paid her own way through college.<\/p>\n

Samantha blasted the claim as \u201cdelusionally absurd,\u201d and Grigoriadis cited it as evidence of Meghan\u2019s delusional tendencies.<\/p>\n
Grigoriadis conceded that Meghan isn\u2019t \u201ca psychopath\u201d (that\u2019s the probably the closest thing to a compliment she\u2019ll ever receive from one of her inveterate haters), but she says the Duchess comes off as unhinged to pretty much every \u201cnormal\u201d person she meets.<\/p>\nInsiders say Harry and Meghan felt snubbed after seeing King Charles\u2019 first official photo. (Photo via Instagram)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cHer takeaway was, \u2018This person just is not on the level,\u2019\u201d Grigoriadis said, quoting an unidentified journalist friend who interviewed Meghan at home, adding that the friend said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0Grigoriadis concluded by explaining that Meghan and Harry have \u201can ace in the hole\u201d\u00a0in their dealings with the press, as they can always allege that Harry\u2019s mother \u201cwas killed\u201d by the media<\/p>\n
That way, they can portray the press as \u201cevil\u201d and any retaliation from the Sussexes will be viewed as \u201ccompletely justified\u201d because they \u201care fighting this enormous braying monster.\u201d<\/p>\nPrince Harry and Meghan Markle make an appearance at the UN.(Photo via Getty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAnticipate your opponent\u2019s best argument so that it\u2019ll be that much less effective when they eventually use it.<\/p>\n
